The women's division is not inherent to WWE's product. It's a division. You could go there and have no tag matches or cruiserweight matches. We have Smackdowns every week with nobody from the cruiserweight division competing - the women's division is not inherent to the product.

I think you could make the argument that the Womens Revolution is, at this point in time, inherent to WWEs product

Also keep in mind there are reasons for the lack of parity, in both WWE and sports, that aren't "women are being discriminated against"

In WWE, a lot of those reasons can be traced back to a single woman who was recently decided not to be trophy-worthy <_<

There were two periods in the 90s where there would be no womens matches for years at a time

But you said 20 years, so no

I forget where I saw this, but I agree with the idea that they should totally run an all-women card back in the states while the men are gone.

I think it would make money, especially if you put a Rousey squash on there against like Dana Brooke or someone

I must stress that I agree with Jakyl only because it's directly at odds with what the WWE is selling and it's directly interfering the product they're (supposedly) producing. If it wasn't that I'd agree that we're holding WWE to too high a standard to expect them to not go there.

The main problem I have there really is WWE telling him to shut up about it.

I guess all Im really trying to say is that they care more about money than about womens rights

And I know that shouldnt be shocking. And if they were in some kind of financial dire straits where making this trip and getting this payday would allow them to continue to pay women (and men) for a little while longer back in the states, Id understand.

But theyre swimming in profit and they still take this money, and when one of your core messages is womens equality, thats hypocrisy. IMO

Like in Abu Dhabi, where they finally let women perform as long as they wore bodysuits. I would demand AT LEAST the same amount of compromise from the Saudis or I wouldnt take their money.

Yes, thats the rumor. It would save them a lot of production money for (ideally) similar ratings as their normal stuff

And then SD would be used for that purpose

It wouldnt be Network only, just on FS1 instead of main Fox

And when you have that sort of disparity between audience numbers, you HAVE to either end the Brand Split or make SD a stepping stone between NXT and Raw. You cant pretend they are equal at that point.

Looks like the new UFC deal is getting finalized. ESPN and NBC split the programming, each with some fighters exclusive to their networks, PPVs drop to 6/year

Should all this be true, the domino effect is that WWE is almost certainly moving to Fox in September 2019. USA is going to have to pony up a lot more money than WWE is worth to keep them.

How do you think they recover, especially if Trump gets re-elected?

The question is, if the party is becoming better or worse.

It depends what it morphs into.
