Megalobox episode 13

I think that was a good end. The series kept being strong and strong throughout the entire run, and most of that was because all the set up and characterization outside the fights. But for this final fight, everything was already set up. So it had to go for something a little different. And I think it does a good job of making you feel for both and giving it weight. And yea, nice detail with not making the winner get any fanfare. Because it really wasn't about who won at that point.

Could a BIT more have happened? I think so, but I'm not sure how they could have done it. This fight could have been disappointing SUPER easily, but they did what they had to do with it and it worked.

Also I really like that Yuri becomes a companion at the end. What a cool dude, I really like him.

Well whatever Matt decided with being captured is because they heard that they'll get extra stuff with her for doing that so I kinda blame fans more on that one than them, if it was fans that kept telling them to do that for an extra scene.

Pat I think has held it together all things considered with a rough start. He's just had to react more to Woolie's turn of events more recently.

Woolie.....it was an unfortunate mistake, and they even tease him on it on the last video and he knows it. It is what it is. I'm still not terribly upset with the story arc of Markus being a super pacifist and sacrificing himself for the cause.

I will say the ONE thing that I'm actually kind of disappointed in is that it seems like they really screwed up the Hank bit of the story to the point that I'm not expecting him to make another appearance. Which will be pretty lame if that police station scene with him before Connor got the evidence was the final time we see him.

Especially because they were STARTING to get close at the end but it seems like JUST missed out to continue that story. So something started to build up and now ended prematurely, and was definitely the best part of the game.

Just fought Cerberus, I died once on him because I'm bad but once I started to actually use the lock on more effectively I did it. Shotgun worked out better in that fight than handguns. Also I somehow got him into a state where he lunged at me and just kind of sat there and I wailed on him for like 75% of his health bar. Dunno how I lucked out on that one. Even the remaining 25% he didn't do too much. But I saw him do a lot more in the first fight on him so I dunno.

I do have to say though.....I miss the dodging from DMC2! It's so sad in this one compared to what he was doing in 2 haha

oh yea I've kept up watching HunterXHunter, finished the Hunter Exam arc and started this Operation Rescue Killua one

The ending of the Hunter Exam definitely was the best part of the arc. Was super not expecting to pretty much skip the entire exam and have pretty much everyone pass, including the ninja dude and the bow dude. Super cool. And fuck Killua's brother, creepy ass. I was hoping Gon was gonna shred him right on the spot when he woke up, but breaking his arm works too.

Hisoka I think might be my favorite character, definitely the most interesting so far. Especially with his last scene in the arc stating that Gon was his prey and nothing better happen to him. Super good

So now question: What's the likelihood that Lucia will be in DMC5 at all? Since DMC2 is the timeline-wise most recent, there's somewhat of a chance right? Or will it be like a Trish situation between 1 and 2 where Trish went who the fuck knows where for this game (except as an unlock but you don't get any extra stuff with her right? It's just unlocking to play as her through Dante's missions?)

It would be kind of hilarious if Lucia was brought back and since so many people hate DMC2 and I bet a chunk outright skip it since every veteran says to, they'd be like "who the fuck is this?"

Aaaaaaaandddddd Lucia game beat. Demon Atrius first form was an alright fight, still had mostly rely on guns but there was some nifty moves he did and then you could in on him with regular attacks. His final form, however, was guns guns guns guns. Crawling back and forth spitting out blue goo, just keep shooting. Eh.

And AHA I had a feeling that con with double sided head with how it played out in Dante's story. And that ending with Lucia waiting at Dante's agency was a WAAAAAAYYYYY better ending scene than what Dante got. Also she says "Sparda did come back" so I guess they were teasing for the next game? Well we're finally gonna get that next year!

So yea I almost want to say I liked Lucia's campaign more? If only because it felt like an actual somewhat complete story, as basic as it was. Gameplay wise she had a few more tricks up her sleeve, like that bomb (called the cranky bomb which is weird but whatever) and even though I barely used it I could see some of its usefulness and I just liked how different it was. Still not great gameplay but eh.

So now I'm officially done with DMC2. There's Bloody Palace and Hard mode to get Trish, but I think I'm about tapped out. Glad I did Lucia's campaign though, it's a shame most people probably don't. Like she's not a great character by any means but I think overall she does help out the game a bit due to how bland Dante is.
