Main protagonist goes to some remote planet to learn from the most powerful jedi alive. The master initially refuses. Meanwhile friends and company are flying through space with the empi--first order on their tail. Main protagonist learns a few things and then goes off to save friends. Friends and company end up making an escape plan to a planet but the first order follows them there. Climax with the main antagonist and luke happens on that planet and while that happens friends and company escape that planet.... So yeah it's basically ESB only shittier in every way.
