IMO The Witcher 3 is good enough that you should want to play it before dying, which could be tomorrow. Don't take that risk. Start with 3.

3 starts in a spot easy enough to understand the basic plot/world structure.

No matter which Witcher game you start in you'll be a little lost. Might as well start with the best one.

I thought pschodynamic theory is pretty much accepted. And it's pretty obvious that ones up-bringing can shape a personality. That's really the jist of it. And the actual application of the theory is so little of what Peterson actually talks about. I've so far watched two or three hour long interviews and he's never mentioned the ego, super ego, etc etc.

I disagree 100%.

And I have worked in/around fast food chains for many many years.

"Livable" sure, if that means they are college students bunking 5 in a house, living on Ramen and whatever restaurant they wash dishes at.

But two adults with minimum wage jobs shouldn't be trying to raise a family, or live any kind of extravagant lifestyle...nononon.

It feels so ignorant to me, thinking that a business owner must provide for people even if it means the business is failing....if the business fails, then NOBODY has a job....

That's not saying all jobs in McDonalds or w/e should be minimum. Managers at fast food joints should be making WAY WAY WAY more than they do given the effort they must put in. They are often under-staffed, work long hours (most are salaried so overtime in most states is a no) have to set an example for everyone AND do all the b/s corporate mandates that come from the top, on top of paperwork, hiring, firing, reprimands, ordering, inventory, surveillance...at Subway I also had to deal with marketing, large orders out of nowhere, had to learn to have fix equipment when I can barely tie my shoes etc etc.

The thing is, because of these super dumb wage laws, Managers at these places are the ones that get shafted because even the worst employees get paid higher than they deserve, and the employees that actually help you out and make a difference make like 10 cents more than those just doing "the bare minimum".

Honestly OP I know you're trying to help people but you're not.

As tech gets better and automation starts to take over, the economy will have to adjust and I think a lot of that will be redistribution of wealth, which I'm against 100% in theory but in practice where most of the wealth in the world is in the pockets of banks that charge you for existing essentially...well...hopefully there's a solution in there some where.

But for now it is NOT giving slackys at fast food joints more reason to **** around and not do their job cuz "we all get paid the same no matter how much we work" **** off.

And after every sentence they went "woof" or "arf" and they were pawing at each-other and to be honest they were really loud and inconsiderate to the others in the store. They had ears and painted on whiskers and tails.

They didn't kiss they just rubbed their noses. They were both over-weight 20 something men. Probably from the University near by.

The Plinkett Star Wars prequels reviews are gold.

Even the Force Awakens review was ok.

They NEED to do the Matrix Reloaded/Revolutions.

The prequels are just weird super high budget B movies. I enjoy them, but they are for sure super flawed with many plotholes.

Being a pastor is quite difficult as every congregation has their own problems. Rich, upscale congregations are dealing with corruption, infidelity, etc., while poor congregations deal with ignorance, poverty, violence, lack of funding, etc. As pastor you have to risk pissing people off to maintain order in your church. XB1X (or even Xbox 1) are much better "services"---for sure. On the X you get the best graphics/performance, barring a few minor cases where there's parity.....base consoles are near parity in most situations as well (usually Xbox1 gets a lower resolution) but honestly most people are still rocking 1080p screens.....

Anyway yeah, Xbox has it down right now except for one area....

games.

When it comes down to it, these are machines for games...it's a fringe market that kicks it old school enough to warrant owning an Xbox 1 for backwards compat with previous gens.

PS4 has all of those Japanese games, with some big western studios doing amazing stuff exclusive to PS4.

Xbox has a slightly better racing game and a couple of good shooters....

It's just not enough. Xbox is more of a service, but that service isn't really required.

It's a fundamental rule of engineering that anything with moving parts will eventually break down. Modern consoles have a LOT of moving parts - disc drive motors, laser heads, internal fans, hard drive platters...

True, I don't expect PS3's and 360's to last almost four decades...Atari 2800 systems still boot!

It will be a sad day when PS2's stop running. I think it will still be a while. They mass produced A LOT of PS2 slims, and barring a few issues with certain models (the "ribbon cable scratching discs" got me last year--luckily all the games still play fine despite the scratch) and early PS2 slims had issues with the disc tray needing weight to start reading the disc after a certain amount of wear.

If you ever seen a Silver PS2 out in the wild, grab it up. I think it's one of the better revisions.

One ps1 and four ps2's later, its finally the disc that's stopping me from playing this weird classic of a game.

I immediately bought one off amazon, and of course that one didn't work (front surface was very, very scratched) Never go with the cheapest Amazon version of a game.

I did find a good copy of it on Ebay for 15 bucks. The picture shows little to no surface scratches and the guy claims to test it in multiple PS2s and he has great feedback.

My original copy works in my PC but not on my silver PS2 slim. I've tested ten other PS1 games and many many PS2 games, they all work in this Ps2. It's a very late model, so I don't think it's the laser just yet. Both copies just have scratches on the label side that are kinda deep. I must have nicked it last time I played a few years ago or something and the PS2 laser isn't powerful enough to blast through it like my PC DVD drive.

I really wanted to play it this weekend :( It's one of my "summer' games.
