Yeah, the real kicker here is most games that don't have this type of system that are ARPG's have absolutely worthless teammates. Playing KH 1.5 it is almost hilarious how fucking worthless your teammates are in a lot of situations and battles.

Give me a gambit system over almost playing these games solo.

People really need to try out some of the APRG's espcially those made pre FF XII, and see how bad most of these games handle AI controlled teammates.

You really made me think about the progression of AI development with this post... it's wild how far games have come.

I think a lot of the comments I'm reading revolve around:

1) People jumping on the "easy mode" bandwagon despite never playing the game-- (my opinion matters though!)
2) Confusing a battle system with game difficulty; although they go hand in hand on the playthrough, I think they should be somewhat isolated for the sake of the discussion
3) The battle system being "too automatic"-- well then shit, guys, feel free to play manually? The key word is flexibility. I'd rather have the option of having completely programmable teammates versus herp derp crap AI

I almost feel like I could have rephrased the title to be a little less broad. Problem is that I was talking about all FF games, so it seemed like a better way to word it at the time.

The poster(s) who pointed out the flaws of the license board-- I found that argument to be pretty legitimate. And yes, Zodiac Age is a different game in itself.

Not really an embarrassing date but...

I was on craigslist, looking for a date. I reached out to this outdoorsy, super fit, adventurous woman. We talk, we hit it off, so I invite her on a first date; to go for a nice long hike in the Oregon wilderness.

I pick her up from her place; She had a backpack full of survival gear with a machete strapped to the side. I thought bringing it along was kind of weird, but my desire to spend some time with this girl clouded my judgement.

We go out into the wilderness, go for a hike. It starts out great at first. A few miles in, we come across a river. We decide to go skinny dipping and had some crazy sex by the river. Afterwards, we are covered in mud and other things, but decide to start heading back.

She decides she doesn't want to get dressed again. She also wants to take a shortcut, insisting she knows the way. This naked woman covered in mud pulls out her machete, and starts hacking away through the brush. Sticks and thorns from blackberries tear at her skin along the way, adding blood to the mixture of things on her body.

We go her way for quite a while. She was growing increasingly frustrated and angry. Finally, I tell her that I think we are going the wrong way, and I was going to go a different way. She objected, but ultimately decided to start following me. I get us back to a highway, and kind of tease her that i was the one that figured it out. She then grabs some nearby roadkill and throws it at me! I was rather pissed about this, but I decided just to get this over with.

We walk along the highway, her still naked, until we get back to my car. only one person drove passed us on the way back. i couldn't even imagine what they thought seeing me being followed by a muddy and bloody naked woman wielding a sword. I tell her she can't get into my car unless she puts her clothes back on. After some arguing, she finally does.

We had a long and awkwardly quiet drive home. I dropped her off at her place, and never spoke to her again.

This dude wins.

and then I see topics where you take a steaming crap on happy people who, for instance, just had a child. You haven't been in hospitals very much I'm guessing, or you're just mean. The guy said his family was asleep, and you know how long husbands/dads have to be patient there? It takes what, a few minutes to post? But he's a monster because he's on his phone?

How many hours do you spend on here each day making posts to people for support or just to talk? It's like you hound on people who you think might steal your attention, and it's really childish.

Gambit system allowing me to completely program my team's priorities... fuck yes. This was the system that raised the bar for my teammate standards that no other game has come close to touching ever since, IMO.

Oh, and completely off topic, fuck Donald and Goofy from Kingdom Hearts for running around being useless [word unacceptable on GFAQ]s. I wish I could program my teammates in every game to a helpful extent.

I just platinumed KH1.5 and 2.5 recently, and felt like I solo'd the whole thing with no help. In the time it might have taken me to wipe out like 10 end game heartless/nobodies, I would just see Donald dead in a corner and Goofy humping grunts with his shield for like minimum damage.

While I won't defend carnivorous or plant based diets, I went vegan for the most part, 99%, because of the documentaries I'd watch (probably at least 30) that show what happens in the meat and dairy industries.

There is no possible way to meet the profit margins that they do without a severe cut in health standards. If I eat ANY meat products, its coming from somewhere as local and "organic" as possible. I cut dairy out completely for different reasons entirely.

But yeah, the meat *industry* is the reason I went plant based. My mental health and physical system feel cleaner in ways I never would have imagined until I tried it for years. Makes a difference.

I won't argue with people about what works best, but it's definitely worked for me.
