not only that, the anime made the light novel #1 for a while. the first book ended #4 overall for 2017, first volume of the manga was #18. that's probably why we've gotten them translated so fast, vol 3 is out in a few days and i'm hyped. the anime gets partially through it so we're reaching into new content.

personally i've got 4 of 'em that i can pop (DF, Gil, Marie, Olive) but i'm most excited for cannon girl as i don't know what to expect. i'm assuming/hoping that she'll gain variance on Sparky by equipping it, the same way it was initially. the rest aren't that good but hey, DF gets to hit stupid hard for wind, earth, and dark elements; Gil i... don't really know what he's doing, his entry feels incomplete. looks like a Killers machine though? and while i know Marie's generally considered the crappiest of the 7* forms, she still has some utility as support, though i'm hoping they buff her to being more than "1 in 8 turns you survive anything."

Ace is god-tier considering his three elemental 75% imperials so that's nothing to complain about. A2 being benched though, why? are you going fists only with her, not taking advantage of her ability to equip greatswords? the best imperial for wind - on somebody worthwhile anyway - is Barbariccia but it's on her LB.

weapon enhancements... basically look like "if you have Olive you do this asap."
the bonus for guns is a +30%. that's way better than the limited +15% to HP and ATK katanas get. good quality daggers are a nice second choice for High Tide too.

Essentials phone is great.
i own it. the biggest issue for it is the lack of a headphone jack. this summer though it should be getting a new DAC attachment that will probably make it the best one for audio. the company itself isn't doing too hot but the phone itself is great quality, if you don't care for just average to above average pictures.

honestly, while you missed on Switch potential if you don't mind waiting it may not be a bad idea anyway. you know there's a revision down the pipeline sooner than later for storage, heat, and probably with some changes to the chip so it's not as easily hacked. it's the same reason i ended up going with something like the chair really - a $20 off $50 coupon means i'm gonna look at lower numbers.

yeah, the initial code was pretty nice honestly and a 15% to stack with that too by itself makes for a great deal. ...then somebody went really stupid with code generation and somehow made a 50%-75% off sale on anything because "whoops."

but those codes are technically available until Oct 31st so they'll probably just change the basic discount codes and give a gift card. at least that's what i'm hoping for as compensation!

honestly while there's some games i'm interested in i'm in the middle of figuring out stuff for the apartment. new bed frame and mattress, chairs, stuff like that is in order.

...and fortunately that works really well with that $20 off $50 since if all goes well i'm getting myself a really cheap chair. besides, target doesn't come close to other places bed frames or mattresses even after discounts.

7* Rem, if she's like Japan's release, is godly at that. Curaja, 3 turns of an AOE auto-revive + 100% defenses + 20% damage mitigation on a 5-turn cooldown (available from turn 1), AOE MP healing, 50% physical counter to curaga + status effects. that's not including her ability to use Tornado or Quake. there's probably some differences there for us due to Dagger Boomerang but i don't think they'll tone down her healing.

considering the amount of Cloud i have, TDH is a thing i can do on a lot of characters. Cloud and Olive for sure. Tidus i'm still unsure because i'm not sure whether FD TDH is his best at 7* or something else with Brotherhood. Dark Veritas i'm uncertain on because he gets both boosts to TDH and boosts to TDW. i think CG Laswell is a TDW character at 7* so i'm not worried there. and i haven't checked on Raegan.

in terms of mages, Ace is the one i'm looking forward to the most, though his TMR is honestly kind of weak. fortunately his STMR is fucking great on him and i'm just one Ace away from getting that. at least that means i don't need to force a second TMR somehow before fusing, i'm busy enough with Clouds as is.

nah, since then we've had translations of the Bastard manga, Darsh is still OP. though not a lot has gone since then unfortunately.

strangely Hit is a better opponent for that one due to his multi-dimensional attacks that phase through matter but it's still Darsh's win.

it's not that they're reality warpers, it's that DBS basically took the Superboy Prime route with "they just get stronger and punch things they aren't supposed to." Z sorta had a few basic ideas of it - like Gotenks yelling to get out of the chamber - but Super just took that idea way, way more. we're at the point where Vegeta's royal blue form can surpass at least some level of being wiped out of existence (Toppo's god of destruction form), and a not-full power Jiren can force his way through time stoppage. lesser versions of both are also seen with more characters involved too (Frieza grabbing the piece of hakai energy, other techniques by Hit that involve multi-dimensional attacks) so it's entirely possible that the new Broly for Super wouldn't care about low level reality warping.

in this case it's because Super actually has now had a MUCH higher level than Z ever did. reality warpers, time stoppers, people making black holes, and more have all been part of the series now.

What's the point of Broly when Kale is a thing? Like, we already have a "gets angry and smashes things" character who looks exactly like him. Unless people want to argue that Broly's character and motivations make him cool, in which case "lol."

you've got it backwards really, Kale's existence means Broly has to be a thing. he was always the end-game: if Universe 6 has it then Universe 7 must too and vice versa. by her having that transformation he was guaranteed to happen.

now she was pretty new with her powers and then gained control of them, kind of. she honestly looked much weaker when she had control again so maybe we'd get someone here with a lot more time to have developed it.

remake of the first game would be amazing, it can use a LOT of upgrades by coming to a more modern system. hell, even the h-scenes wouldn't really be missed as they aren't that great and sometimes felt just shoehorned in from a time when all VNs needed 18+ scenes. like for some girls it made sense but iirc most of 'em were awkwardly done.
