I still listen to his 911 show almost every year because it is such a great way to remember what that day was like. It goes from joking about Pam Anderson to the initial news that a tower got hit and still some joking and laughing because no one really knew what was happening and then as the shows progresses you see the mood slowly change. Its funny that a lot of younger people don't even really know who he is. His show is still funny and he still has some of the best interviews. I just wish he wouldn't ignore people that made his show great like Artie, and Gilbert. I get that he wants to move on and that he isn't the same person he was years ago but he almost pretends some things didn't happen. How do you have Joe Buck on twice and not ask him once about the Artie interview. Robin is absolutely miserable now. You are a competitor and think you will be fine and are confident in your abilities so you think you can cut the weight without a problem because you have wrestled or fought at the weight in the past and had been fine. You cannot let rational thought police the issue because at the top levels peoples' belief in their own ability outweighs everything else. IMO, I think having less wight classes would help minimize some of the dramatic cutting that is dangerous but obviously isn't in the interest of the fighting organizations that want to be able to sell lots of different champions. You can't have short periods where you have to pay attention and then 30 seconds of nothing. It just doesn't work like that and because american audiences are conditioned to watch TV in short periods of time they struggle to watch a game. They call it slow, even though it is much faster paced than any other American sport except for maybe hockey. It takes 3 or 4 hours to watch a 60 minute NFL or NCAAF game and yet Americans will say its more exciting and faster than soccer which is objectively wrong (compared to 2 hours to watch a 90 minute game). With all that said though soccer audiences seem to be growing. There are way more people that can talk about the EPL than there were years ago. NBC sports and FS1 have made soccer a decent portion of their programming. MLS teams and audiences are growing. Its slow and probably won't ever be the most popular sport here but it does have a loyal audience that is growing. And ultimately it really doesn't matter.
