I haven't seen much of Penn & Teller Bullshit, but didn't they actually talk about contentious topics? For example stuff like psychics and GMOs. Adam Ruins Everything just seems like it's deliberately contrarian... which I guess is kind of the point given the name of the show, but it's like "EVERYTHING YOU KNOW ABOUT ____ IS WRONG" clickbait in TV form.

Some of the shit he puts out there is misleading. I remember one about slot machines and I think he said something like they deliberately make it look like you're close to a win get you to keep playing. That isn't how they work, it's fully random. There are ways to design the reels and pay outcomes so that there's a high chance of it coming up as something that seems close, but the machine doesn't just "select" a near-win outcome.

Penn and teller had some great topics and some less than great topics. And it is over ten years old, so a lot of the things are already pretty dated. Its still awesome and I wasnt trying to talk shit about it.

And slot machines absolutely do deliberately make it look like your close to winning. Go max bet next time and as it passes one of the bonus spins or if you land on a special cleopatra or if you get two out of five of Willy Winonas candy bars itll make a loud sound and light up even if you havent won anything, and youll go, aw man so close!

It is random, but even in random they can make it seem like you were close to winning even though you were just as close when you didnt get any of the willy wonkas candy bars

No it just makes me think of some random guy in tights who try its best to make insulting words but utterly fails. Its more like the insult is self reflecting than actually working.

Not what it makes you think of, but how it phonetically sounds. It just sounds harsher than pussy or vagina (which also doesnt sound too great)

I dont know what the bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack looks like, but that movie was and I can only assume the soundtrack was awesome.

Purple rain is a good movie, but that soundtrack is fucking amazing.

Guardians 1&2 are a tossup because I love both movies, but the soundtracks are obviously amazing. Kinda the same with baby driver.

Its like a better version of penn and tellers Bullshit.. dont get me wrong, I love penn and teller (a lot, actually) but they really liked to add their own political opinions on certain topics, which even though I agreed with them mostly, I could have lived without.

I was a little skeptical about Adam ruins everything at first, but now I really love it. I love how annoying he is, I love the weird meta story that goes on in each episode, I love how fast paced it is, and I love that it actually cites its sources.

It's not the sole reason for high prices, but people going to the emergency room for things that aren't medical emergencies costs a shit-ton of money and makes it much more difficult for people with actual emergencies to receive emergency treatment

I don't understand mobile gaming. The only mobile game I ever played was Pokemon Go when it first came out and I couldn't even connect to the server so I uninstalled it and never went back. DId not see what was fun about randomly walking around and throwing balls at pokemon you couldn't battle with.
