I have never played any Diablo games. Is it like ff crystal chronicles?

I really liked that game, and even though it was better Co op, it was still fun alone

It's got a 90% on metacritic I think, which is rarely wrong imo

As a regular on a small subreddit, I can tell you that there are posts that, if they weren't against the rules, would be made 10 times a day. Every other post, every day, would be the same thing.

Im actually enjoying Spectre of Torment, it was worth the 7 bucks. I like the mechanics of the scythe. I only played shovel knight for like five minutes once and it felt very clunky

Is shovel knight the same campaign? Or are the levels and bosses different?

Okay, that doesn't sound bad at all.

I am banking on being able to quit my job next year. I am a pretty fit guy as I walk everywhere (well, not as a much as I used to last year). I plan on doing some traveling when the time comes. So I suppose I'll probe you again when the plans are set in stone.

More remote southern CO is much more spectacular than the Front range mountains which are the closest to the sprawling megacity that Denver has become, and RMNP is busy in the summer

Look at 14ers.com for full route descriptions. I recommend Mt Sneffels or Blanca Peak if you want to camp.

I thought it was freaking great. I mean, what's not to like? Metroidvania, great mystery story, varied enemies, varied weapons, inventive puzzles, and great challenging bosses.

Well I haven't played a ton of it. What's not to like? I'm a pixel destroying blocks. When I destroy enough blocks and the occasional moving circle I can spam my gun at a boss for 10 minutes until it dies. wooo...

After playing Hollow Knight this feels like the old computer game Joust. In fact, Joust is probably more polished.

But I've only beat three bosses, maybe I'm totally missing something here

What did you do to prepare for hiking up the mountains, TC and @Ex-Kefiroth?

I used to be a mountain guide here in CO

Most 14ers are not that hard -- it's a 3-5 hour strenuous walk. When I was a gamer teenager it was definitely the hardest thing I'd ever done. If you run 10mi or more regularly they're not very difficult. So it just depends where you're coming from. I took my wife, who was just an all around fit person, up a medium difficulty peak when first met and she was tired but not ready to lay there and die or anything.

To train for endurance sports you have to put in time and miles. To prepare, make habit of doing cardio for 2+ hours a couple times a week

Or just straight up don't prepare, lots of people just find their inner strength and push through. I've seen chubby people in their 50s who've never left Iowa climb 5000 ft up Longs Peak

Definitely drove. Hiking Pikes Peak would require you to be in top physical condition, and youd definitely have to train for months or years. Thatd be a hell of a climb. Yeahhhh its a 13.5 mile hike with an elevation gain of 7500+ feet. Fat east coasters would have a tough time. But ok dude. Keep looking like a dick, thats cool

Longs peak from your picture is ~4,000ft above the valley. The Tetons are 5-,6000ft above the valley. The Canadian Rockies are 5-10,000ft above the valley

Depends what you're doing, I traveled for 3 months alone twice in south america and it was the most transformative and meaningful time of my entire life.

If you're just going to the next city over to drink beer and walk around town I wouldn't think it's that fun.

I was alone in a different culture. When you're alone you have nothing from home, you're totally absorbed into the place. You have to make EVERY decision every day, which makes you confident. You can try to be someone else or be totally yourself and no one know you or anyone you've ever met, so you can get away with it.

I hooked up with beautiful women even though I'd never had a girlfriend before, I climbed (literal) mountains I didn't know I could climb, I sat alone in a dirty hotel afraid and more lonely than I'd ever been in my life, and I experienced highs that made me cry even though I never cry.

Its total freedom to find yourself. I also learned how naive I've been about other cultures. There's nothing great about America - - everyone is human, every culture is great and equally interesting
