Hello everyone, and welcome back to Best of the Trope! Big thanks to Johnbobb for running the previous game, and for letting me take over. I can only hope I'll do as good a job as him. Since the topic is now under new management, I'll call my run Season 2.

The same rules as before apply, but for any newcomers, or simply as a reminder for any veterans, here are the rules. Each day, I will post a trope from TV Tropes, and each poster can name up to three examples of that trope. Whichever nomination gets the most mentions wins! Posters may also name as many Honourable Mentions as they like, but they are purely optional and will not count towards the running score. You may look at the TV Tropes page for that day's trope for examples, but you do not have to pick all your examples from the page. You can nominate whatever examples you like, as long as they qualify for the trope. Each trope will last around 24 hours before the next one goes up.

Posters may also nominate any tropes they wish to see come up during the series. This is optional, and you don't have to do it every day, or at all. Just bear in mind that I may close trope nominations temporarily if the list gets too long. Tropes will be randomly selected from the list each day, except for some occasions where I will pick a thematically appropriate trope that may or may not be on the list, like today for example.

Would GIFs be possible for one round?

Would each character get Smash style tag lines for their reveal trailers?

Since you mentioned the creators of this game are aware of memes, might I suggest Obi-Wan as DLC, and his reveal trailer opening with him saying "Hello there!"

There should be a Snake Codec / Palutena's Guidance type gimmick as well, where a non-playable character comments on your character if you play on certain stages. I'd suggest Jiminy Cricket do it for the Disney and Kingdom Hearts characters, Edna Mode for the Pixar characters, Nick Fury for the Marvel characters and R2D2 and C3PO for the Star Wars characters

The thing I find ironic is so many call the MGS stories convoluted or boring yet rave about Xenoblade or KH...

I always hear the opposite, that Metal Gear Solid's story is great, and Kingdom Hearts is terrible and convoluted. In fact, Kingdom Hearts is one of the easiest targets for mockery in all of gaming. Only Sonic gets it worse.

Disclosure, I like both Metal Gear Solid and Kingdom Hearts.
