I've played shooters for the better part of the past 15 years. Halo, Call of Duty, Battlefield, Unreal Tournament, CS:GO, etc. and i've never had a real problem with any of the communities. Sure, sometimes I got a little angry and became that guy who blamed his teammates, but it's the nature of the beast when you play shooters, a little gamer rage is to be expected.

Then comes the year 2018 where Sparta was introduced to a popular game called Overwatch. I admittedly got hooked, it's actually my most played game of this year by a country mile because the game itself is fun and well designed. The community on the other hand is by far the worst community i've ever experienced and i'm actually about to abandon Overwatch for Halo again (good idea right? leave a popular game for a dying franchise, lmao @ me)

Unfortunately, Overwatch is a Blizzard game so it naturally attracts the stereotypical WoW/MMO player. Lazy, no respect for others, no drive, no desire to work as a team, prone to rage, can't take criticism, sometimes you run into players who actually becomes sad in a losing game and instead of leaving to calm down they stay around to encumber your team. Worst of all, there's the entitled player, the one who picks a character and refuses to play absolutely anything else when needed. The problem increases if its a group of friends who all pick damage heroes and laugh when you say the team needs tanks and/or supports then proceed to stink up the joint with their inability to kill things.

I've heard similar stories of League of Legends being an awful experience for the same reasons, but i've never played it so i'm going with Overwatch as my personal choice for worst community.

I actually sighed when I read this post about Homecoming, that game was abysmal. When talking strictly about the lore of the town, it's better to stick to the Team Silent entries since the following development studios butchered the town lore in their own ways.

Regardless, Homecoming does exist and I do know that the existence of that particular Pyramid Head is based on the actual executioners of the town's past in comparison to James' personal demon that was manifested because of the sins he committed taken in form of a painting he saw a long time ago.

This is correct, the town doesn't deliberately exist to punish people, it's just one of the effects the town's power may inflict on someone. Case in point, Laura. She clearly isn't there to be punished as she is obviously in no pain and sees the town as merely a town and nothing more.

I think Shattered Memories was a great Silent hill game, that ending threw me hard.

Yeah, during my first playthrough I got the ending where her dad told her to let the memory of him go and turn to ice, that hit my feels really hard.

I personally don't believe the Leave ending is the canon one anyway.

There's a dialogue sequence in Silent Hill 4 that confirms James went missing a few years back, essentially confirming one of the bad endings has to be the true one.

Yeah, it's a bogus theory. I actually forgot how dark it was until gunplagirl reminded me of what the theory actually consisted of. I only remembered it as Angelica imagining the kids, not the...deaths and other things.
