Saw on the subreddit, they're tied to story progression. You'll get to do all of them, they're counted as actual missions, with cutscenes and dialog, you can't miss them if you're always keeping an eye out for them at camp. Also, you have to clear the one that's there for another to appear. So even if it's not one you want to do, you have to do it. --- |

There are times when i got a bounty because i was carrying a poisoned man to my horse to take into town and other times i just shot up a bunch of bandits on the the road and a carriage stops but don't say shit as I'm riding off. In Saint Denis, I saw a man mugging a woman in an alley, I shot him in the head, she thanked me, kept walking, no bounty. Accidentally hit a dog with my horse, entire town shoots at me. --- |
