Balthier came out of the gate hot, but like the other two post-CI debut winners, it's been much rougher sailing since (though he has avoided the twin boots Lulu and Reno both sport). He's especially fallen since the mass expansion, with his four worst performances coming in the last five contests. While he drops from 59.37% to 58.42%, he stands pat at 31st in the STATS and remains the runaway leader for top XII character, with his closest competition almost 14% lower.

Zidane has done extremely well for himself over the years, especially in the stretch following his title. Only two other champions have avoided a drop-off of at least 20 spots in the two appearances after their win, but Zidane managed to hold on a full eight before finally taking the dive. This technically ties Cecil's record, but Zidane's streak comes in a much more difficult era to pull off such a feat. He also holds the record for the largest finals blowout over Ashe at 70.04%, over five percent higher than the next best.

That said, this placement drops him from the cusp of the upper echelon at 79.25% to 77.59%, swapping spots with Kuja again right back into 5th.
