Speaking of... Town Chris started last game HARD on Red. It was one of the bigger issues i had with Chris in that game and why i was pushing so hard to lynch him. Red didn't even have a chance to really play yet and Chris was ripping him apart to be active and play and rawr rawr rawr. Red was Scum / Chris was Town.

This game starts and Chris doesn't have any fire for his good friend Red. I'm not putting them both in one basket, but it is certainly the opposite of how Town Chris acted last game.

chris fakeclaimed miller and is coasting, at least as far as I've gotten so far(Admittedly, the game is small so there isnt a lot left).

We just havent really been on together to prod at each other, more than anything.

Also last game I was super pumped and prodding chris to get him killed was literally the plan.

Hey Red, how do you feel about FD and Chris's response here?

At that point(I havent read forward yet), from Chris' POV this makes a bit of sense. Mainly because FD thus far had done nothing but joke with the stupid form and run with and discuss the stupid town/human thing. FD likes to think hes far more clever than he is on that front, but the argument was mostly entirely worthless from him(When I start sitting on it, i'm going to be more worried about people running with it than those that brought it up).

FD hasnt exactly had a chance to be active in a game for awhile now(His last two showings were...poor, to say the least), so the excitement he had early is honestly not surprising.

how do you get over the fear of thinking that the one time you actually put your foot down and say "no, fuck it, you guys are all gonna fucking listen to me because i'm usually right and i won't be ignored this time" will then be the one time you are, of course, completely and embarrassingly wrong?

dont have fear. People are going to be wrong all the time. The way I look at, I am certain I am town, 100%. I can't be 100% certain of anyone else. So why the fuck would I value anyones opinion over my own(There are states of game where this changes, but I'm talking neutral day 1 state here in my head).

Anyone else has the same 66+% chance of being wrong if they are town, but they also have a 33% chance of being scum leading you down a wrong road. So the % chance of someone else being correct about scum is far worse than your own.

You are going to be wrong many times but regardless of that, if you are town your own opinions are still the best chance to win. Town is better following you than anyone else. Misylnch someone? All is not lost. Find who pushed your view, who tiptoed, who was just sheeping town. Plenty to gain from a mislynch.

playing two games at once is rarely a good idea, your attention just gets too split and it can have weird effects on how you play. also if MORE than one person plays in both games, it gets really freaky because you might think someone is town in one game but scum in the other, but you can't really say that.

It gets really awkward if you are scum in one game, catch your scummate doing something similar in the other game, or town acting similar to the other game. Because in that case you know alignment from one game but cant reference it in the other. Puts you in an entirely compromising position.

I pretty much gave you most of my legitimate feedback up on the scumboard when you messed up.

The big thing you did was keep bringing up things town scare would have seen forever ago as if they were new and exciting. I know a few people in town caught on you were providing more quantity over substance.

Without Hader tomorrow I don't think they're going to win that game. Could be done with the series before it even gets back to Milwaukee.

No way was it a bad move. Win the games you have in hand. There is no game more important than the game you are winning. You go up 1-0, 2-0, it doesn't matter how beat up you are, you have massively increased your chance of winning the series. Dont kill yourself in the game and throw 200 pitches and be out for the series, but doing what you have to do to make sure you win is absolutely the right move.

its not just about individual takedowns though. You have to do the takedown with all of these people pulling you in the other direction.

Right but I am just trying to think of a team that could actually contend with that scum team. And I would take those guys to at least have a chance to read them as scum. They would still need to find town core, survive, and actually follow through, but they would give a chance to beat you guys

hmm thats going to take some thinking, because you need to outnumber us, and you have to eliminate pointless sheep like plum because he'd just become a vote in our favor.

First off, you need FD. And not I sign up even though I can only play from the hours of 2am to 3am FD. FD knows me and chris. If he actually puts effort and interacts and reads the game, he becomes an immediate threat.

Two, you need swirldude to come out of retirement and give it his best. Hes not the best player out there but he loves reading down the big names. One of the biggest things you need here are people that arent just going to sheep one of us.

Leo isnt going to give enough independent thought. No offense, but with chris saying i'm town, and me saying chris is town. Leo is going to vote whoever the hell chris tells him. Especially day 1. And day 1 is absolutely the most important day in a situation like this. Its not just lynching scum you need, but even if you dont lynch scum you cant let scum choose who they take off the board.

Pick Spiral up, pick Dels up I guess.

i think you underestimate how strong some of towns roles were(The redirect) and are maybe ignoring the fact that lawyer wasn't traditional b8 lawyer. It was literally just a lynch-chooser(Do we have a name for this?) and had none of the gambling involved with typical lawyer.

I don't think scum had all that much of anything. Roleswapper was as I stated immediately on the scum board, pretty much entirely useless. If dowolf dies at any point, we are crippled(My biggest fear this game was blade deciding to try because he wanted dowolf dead for days). Scare's role was very limiting and to use properly would require near suiciding.

The only strong role we had was roleblocker and our dragon-holder(And town had a similar working role to this). Extra kill is just standard at this point(And in an even numbered game, does not decrease the mislynch number necessary for triggering win condition).

Democrats do not have a winning message on healthcare and won't as long as they don't embrace single payer. The American People see through Obamacare, the most basic understanding of economics shows that it is bad and the gains purely redistributive to a class favored by the Democrats (upper middle class), and all the expert analyses in the world arguing that it can actually be good won't change the people's mind. Trump's explanation of what's wrong with Obamacare and how to fix it (force it to implode to bring Dems/insurance companies to the bargaining table) makes sense and is easy to understand.

You are just making stuff up here because that certainly wasn't what Trumps design was for what to do about Obamacare.

His design was "let the republicans do it", he backed their plan. And when they couldnt get it to pass he literally sabotaged it taking out part of what would help make Obamacare work.

Assigning any sort of genius to Trump for health care is something you just cant do. Its the one issue where he fell absolutely flat on his face for all to see.

umm LAX has been slowly undergoing a complete overhaul that started a few years ago. You cant just shut down the third busiest airport in the US to complete it all at once, but its definitely been seeing some major upgrades in phases.

Also they started with a complete overhaul of the international terminal, so visitors from out of country were taken care of first.

its old, dated, and way under capacity for its market. Not even mentioning its little league dimensions.

It represents a lot of what is wrong with MLB right now. Outrageously high ticket prices that keep out a lot of market. It creates a huge accessibility problem. MLB is having a lot of problems attracting a younger crowd, something needed for the long term health of the game. And making the ballpark experience inaccessible to such a large market isn't doing the game any favors.

The live ballpark experience is something TV just can't do justice.

Degrom gets the best pitcher award. Degrom's pitching performance had no value because none of the Mets wins were worth anything. No one cared if they won or lost, there was no value to be gained(Hell, winning was counterproductive this season for them, as it was for most teams).

I'm okay with just putting the rocky start point at X-Men though. That's definitely where the leap to taking them seriously came even if they don't necessarily fully hold up and you still have a few stinkers afterwards.

Yeah it was X-Men followed by Spider-Man a couple years later that really made people start to take comic book movies seriously again after all the damage the batman movies left in the 90s.

The MCU doesn't happen if these movies dont show hollywood that they can be legitimate mass moneymakers worth the big budget.

Yeah if you're counting Deadpool movies then the steep drop comes after Deadpool 1 and 2 as well. But yeah X1-X3 are all kinda meh (though X1and X2 are far better than X3), always thought the first two were a bit overrated because we were densitized due to bad Batman movies being the standard of the time.

X1 and X2 are not great by todays standards but for a comic book movie at the time they were well above average. They definitely contributed to raising the bar for those type of movies(Which has gone far higher today).
