You play as ghosts and collect whisps that carry behind you and you have to bring back to your home base. If someone grabs the whisp tail it is transferred to them. Super addictive. I love beating the shit out of what I presume to be little kids in this game.

Also Order of Ecclesia in the top 5 is awful. That game so blatantly copy/pasted rooms over and over and over to pad out length. Naturally this is a common thing with must Castlevanias, specifically Portrait of Ruin and SotN but never had it felt as lazy as OoE.

Haven't been to the White Palace but I'm pretty sure that's what's next. I went to The Abyss and got the shade thing that lets me go through black barriers before I even beat the game. Made the Watcher Knights pretty easy, not sure how many tries it would have taken me without it (well, that and the extended invincibility frames charm+quick soul recharge+soul on damage+poisonous spores which makes it real easy to cheese bosses). I presume for the white palace I do some shit in the palace area by the abyss to access it. I think I may be burned out though. It wasn't super fun running around the map fighting the ghosts.

I think to me it boils down to a persons opinion of what is unprofessional or not. Very lightly colored pink hair is not remotely unprofessional imo and it didn't even cross my mind for a second that it might come up as an issue that it was until she told me about it.

I wouldn't care about hair color personally unless it was super distracting. If the person looks put together regardless of hair color or whatever and knows their stuff that's good. I do know though that in the corporate world a lot of times that's frowned on so it isn't surprising at all they would request her to not have her hair lightly pink. Maybe once the older heads of these companies leave their posts and younger people start filling in the positions things will change.

Beat the game yesterday, 17 hours 79% completion. Didn't use any guides. Played around a bit more after that for a couple of hours and got the awakened dream nail and some other stuff. Pretty sure I've been to nearly every major area in the game.

I think I got lucky at the beginning of the game finding the Dashmaster and Cyclone Slash pretty much at the beginning of the game. It made the game surprisingly easy and was really fast to navigate everything. I think the only fights I really had any problems with was Hornet 2 which took maybe 10 tries. Every other boss I think I killed on my first go or within like 2-3 tries. It's surprising to me having beaten the game to read it takes a lot of people like 40 hours to get the bad ending. The map is big but it's not overwhelmingly big-- there are stag stations and shortcuts everywhere. Pretty much any place you go you'll find some sort of upgrade or something and there aren't too many areas that are gated.

It was an absolutely amazing game, but I'm not sure I'll go for 100%. The last couple hours running around fighting the warrior ghosts and leveling up the dream nail are kind of boring. I'm not really finding new areas other than The Hive which I stumbled upon thanks to my tendency to use cyclone slash to kill everything. It's felt like filler. Pretty sure I know where to go next but not sure I'm still interested. Is it worth it to continue?

Oh wait, me agreeing with SEP doesn't necessarily apply to all jobs. I can't speak for software engineers or other shit. I'm just referring to my field which is academia/research. Even then, there are some exceptions. Like if someone dressed up in jeans and a nice shirt and had groomed themselves to look nice that's totally fine. Torn jeans and a stretched shirt on the other hand not so much, but if they know their shit whatever. If they are equal to someone who looks a little more put together in terms of knowledge I'd definitely choose the person who looks more put together.

This is a really common corporate practice and should probably have been anticipated by you and your girlfriend. It's similar ideology to why a lot of corporations may require business professional attire when the workers don't interact with customers. It's supposed to make everyone feel like a team or something. I think it can get pretty ridiculous. My wife is a food scientist who literally does bench work with scales and pH meters and stuff and her company has her dressing business professional.

Tldr a lot of corporations do it and not much point fighting it.

Had played like 3 hours a while ago and thought it was good. Play like 7 hours ago and think the game is the best 2d Metroidvania I've ever played. Enemy and environmental variety is incredible, the charm system is awesome, and the boss fights are on another level. Best part? The game is completely nonlinear I believe. Those first 3 hours were relatively linear but after that and you get some geo I think quite literally you may be able to go anywhere. It will be fun when I finish the game to see what route most people take. Pretty sure I powered through an area or two I was underpowered for.
