I've always liked Sonic.

Sonic's problem is that while he is about speed, precision matters more than speed. In a 3d environment, this makes him particularly difficult. Furthermore since every formula Sonic has had has basically fractured the fanbase further, there is now no general consensus on which is the best version of Sonic. Almost everyone agrees the retro 2d Sonic is good, but some people like boost, some people like adventure, some people like rush.

I think Colors and Generations basically had it best. Mix that in with some Adventure like playstyles, and you have what is Sonic's best modern iteration. Continue in the meantime to make retro Sonic games.

Double elimination tournaments are pointless when it's up to a vote.

In a competition, a losing contestant can figure out what they did wrong and maybe win the second time around. But with a voting process, the same people are going to vote the same results each time. It's not like a losing character is going to have a game come out during the tournament which will boost their popularity.

I had a couple.

Jurassic Park
Spider-Man
Batman Returns

They were mildly fun. Batman Returns switched between driving and fighting levels and had boss fights against Catwoman and Penguin. Jurassic Park had you climbing trees to avoid dinosaurs while making a mad dash to the gate. Those two at least made the best they could of the technology available.

It took about an hour in total. Two of those restarts set error messages.

After five restarts, things are finally back in order. I didn't have to reinstall and I didn't have to go through the drive check. It's funny that it won't say it's in need of an update when it really is.

My audio cut out in the middle of a YouTube video. When I decided to sign out and try again, I noticed that my power off options were to restart and update or shut down and update. I did a restart and update and a message came back that I had no audio output.

I go online to look up how to resolve this. I follow the steps, but nothing happens when I click the button. I decide to restart again. The screen says "restarting" for a solid ten minutes before an error message pops up saying sorry, but the computer will have to restart. (Which is what I was trying to do.)

I'm going to try again. I'm going to restart it and see if it'll let me troubleshoot this time. If not, I'll have to delete my cartoon porn and get my laptop looked at. <_<

I think the Balloon Land theme song would work well in a video game. Like, if you had a more mature version of Big Boo's Merry-Go-Round from Super Mario 64, having that theme playing out of focus would give off kind of an eerie vibe. It has kind of a "you shouldn't be here" quality to it.

Let's not forget that Rudolph apparently encourages bullying even though it's a story about not writing off those who are different.

I'm honestly surprised they haven't censored the "you stay in the cave this is man work" line yet. But yeah, the characters who acted like assholes were written like that on purpose, that's the point. Then they all realize they were wrong and grow from it.

Every year I watch the special and expect that line to be censored.

In the classic western ____Shane____, the protagonist shoots the villain's hired gun in an in-door standoff. Then he spins and shoots the main villain as the villain is attempting to shoot him in the back.

It pretty much ruined the movie for me, so don't click the name or the trailer unless you want to give away how the whole thing ends. <_<

I've literally hard far, FAR more people crying about this song being banned than people actually wanting this song banned.

It's almost as if people are outraged that one of their favourite Christmas songs is going to be banned for no good reason.

Yeah. Imagine people being mad at having good things taken away over stupid shit.

I am kind of annoyed when fiction places attractive women with non-humans.

I'm happy for a lesbian who gets the girl. I'm happy for a member of another ethnic group who gets the girl. I'm not happy for the robot or the fishman because he has no real life equivalent. There is not one sapient robot watching the damn program. So why give away the most attractive character?

They're clearly up to the challenge.

The only thing that I think holds this one back is that they can't do to Robotnik what was done to Bowser.

Bowser was a turtle-dragon-demon thing and they turned him into a human politician who couldn't fight. You can't really do that with Robotnik since he's already a human and he already hides behind technology. They can make him skinny. That'd piss people off. Maybe he won't have robots? Maybe he'll have a smartphone which hypnotizes people? I don't see it being possible to take the fun and imagination out of Eggman the way that they did with Bowser. There's just not as much potential for ruination.

Maybe they'll compensate by including a villain that nobody asked for and making them the primary antagonist over Eggman.

Never got that because Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, and Die Hard are clearly far better Christmas movies.

A local theater is showing Christmas Vacation next weekend, but all available showings are sold out.
