I agree with both sentiments. The lore dump near the end was bizarre too. Out of nowhere the game is some weird riff on Phantom of the Opera? No thanks. I like the time travel and the centuries upon centuries of different Messengers, but they really screwed the pooch story wise at the end I thought.

I got The Messenger too and it's great but today I got to a part that was really hard and it made me mad so I quit. My major criticism though is that it thinks it's really funny and it's not funny at all. It has kind of a cool story but it undercuts itself at every opportunity with some lame ass fourth wall breaking comedy.

I know. On one hand it's funny but on the other it pisses me off that he got another job.

I'm looking at the eShop deals now on switch. I can't vouch for all these games as switch ports except VC4 which is competent but the rest are at least really good games on the consoles I played on:

Skyrim of course - $30
Doom - $30
Valkyria Chronicles 4 - $30
Dragon Ball FighterZ - $42 (really great even if you don't care about DBZ and just want a good fighting game)
Wolfenstein 2 - $30 (very good story especially for an FPS but I like Doom better as a game)

I watched the Coen Bros latest on Netflix last night, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. It's an excellent film but only the second best Western of the year.

Every now and then they make some public statement where they play the compassionate loving family and he's some kind of monster, when in reality there are probably issues going both ways. But it's funny that they do this and he literally never responds. If you actually were interested in reconciling and building trust you wouldn't be calling him out in public like that.

Chrono trigger?

Ocarina was the type of game that made you rethink what a game could be. Graphically it was well out of date when I played it, but it was at that moment, by far the best game I had ever played.

I think BotW might also be my favorite Zelda now, and as an adult I might actually prefer Majora to Ocarina (would have to replay both again to be sure) but you can't match the impact Ocarina had on our young gamer lives.

Happy 20th birthday to Ocarina of Time. I didn't play it until a few years later but damn it's old

I don't really use my laptop very much at all anymore. Most of my posting is on the phone.

I have an old crappy car with no aux port so I have to use an annoying sync thing. I don't bother a lot of the time either for that reason. But I have premium Amazon music at least for now and it's pretty dece. No good options for radio tho

When you guys are driving, do you listen to your own set of music or a radio station? The variety of the radio is nice but I think singing along to music I already know helps me focus (I'm a bad driver)

What do we think for Paxton in NY? Way I see it there are a few options:

1) he's really good, maybe better than ever, but only pitches like 130 innings due to injury

2) he gets off to a terrible start and earns an undying reputation as a guy who can't cut it in the big city even though he finishes the year strong and ends up with like a 4.10 ERA

3) he's god awful and/or never really gets to pitch for them very much due to injury

At the very least we can agree that Justus is a cool name.

It sucked. But not everyone gets a dream run. Even Brady played like shit in the AFC championship. Cam had his shot at a legendary season and he came up just short. But the only reason it really annoyed me was because Peyton kissed Papa John after the game.

Next question: is Ryan Lindley better than Nathan Peterman?
