Also, consider implementing the Low-Key Anki setup. It really helps remove any stress from reviewing and reduces the number of cards you need to do per day. By a lot.

I may have to do this, I've kept a backlog over the past week so I'm up to about a 100 when it should be down to 30-40 each day. It also doesn't help that I haven't sat down to work on this for an hour straight. I'm trying to go through it now but I keep getting distracted (being at work, and procrastinating on that too).

I'm mostly curious as to the retention rate of all 2200~ once you do start vocab and reading. It took me around 6 months to build up a vocab/grammar base to where I stopped keeping track of the actual number of words/kanji I notionally know. From there, pure consumption took over. I just don't worry anymore if I know several hundred "literally never used" kanji but am still missing ones from the jouyou list, because at that point I know when I see them and won't likely forget them after that.

My retention rate so far is probably a good 60%, if I'm being generous. I definitely need to keep working on my Anki flashcards. I've actually been delaying working on my vocabulary and grammar for the past 3 weeks because I dread spending 2-3 hours on them everyday like I did with the kanji. I don't know if it was a good idea, but I can't stop now >_>

So after 8 months or so, I finally finished the 2200 Kanji flash card set as recommended by Nihongoshark. Now I have a 1K set of vocabulary words and I also need to start working on my Genki. I'm dreading starting either of them because I know it'll take 2 hours if I start the vocabulary set and get the ball rolling. Now that I've completed my Kanji, reviewing it is pretty lax, I can knock it out in a half hour, even if I skip a day.

Honestly, if I were to vote in 2016, even knowing everything that would happen in the subsequent years, I would have voted for Trump. And it's for one reason only, Clinton didn't play fairly. Under no circumstances should you ever undermine the system which Clinton did through basically controlling the DNC. I can't support that even if she's the better candidate. It'll reek of hypocrisy on my part if we come to a situation where we get another candidate who's does the same grey acts Clinton did (since her embezzlement and getting the Superdelegates to vote for her first were legal) , but their polices and views are despicable. You could argue that it's a different set of circumstances and we're just choosing what we can to survive, but that mindset means that you don't have any real integrity or don't have ideals to stand behind.

And this encourages the Democratic party to not have to change for the better since they still get what they want in the end. In fact just recently, I believe the DNC just set a rule to prevent super delegates from voting at the beginning of the primary season. Sometimes you have to fail before you can see success.

Second, on November 23rd comes an album postponed from a few weeks ago called Yandhi. The prior album, Ye, was a bust. Yandhi has to actually sell copies. Right now, hes lost his base in the black audience and most of the white audience. Ye sold 60,000 actual copies, 250K all in with streaming. That doesnt pay for first class trips around the world.

I'm saying in 2008, Hillary was closer to center than Obama (and McCain was also closer to center than McCain was later in life). So depending on your policy positions, you could be a Hillary supporter who shares more in common with McCain than Obama. So that 25% isn't necessarily people who are voting for McCain out of spite.

As a contrast, it's hard to come up with a set of actual policy positions where you're a Bernie supporter where the second closest politician to you policy wise is Trump rather than Clinton. That indicates that more of the Bernie to Trump voters did so out of spite or had only a superficial understanding of the candidates.

It doesn't really matter, all I'm saying is that you can't just look at the vote movements in this case. If 10% of Bernie's supporters voted for Trump out of spite (and 5% for other reasons), that's worse than if 20% of Hillary supporters voted for McCain because he matched their policies better, even if that means more crossover voters.

Oh okay, that makes sense.

The people to blame for Trump being voted into office are people who voted for Trump.

Same goes for any other government official.

It's also the DNC's fault that Trump won. They pulled the curtain on Bernie Sanders, the candidate democrats actually wanted, and told them they have to vote for Hillary Clinton instead. Not everybody wanted to vote for an unlikeable, uncharismatic grandma.

I want to believe that but the Bernie bros, by and large, swallowed their pride for the good the Democratic party and voted for Clinton. Only 15% of those who voted for Bernie voted for Trump. A smaller percentage that the people who voted for Clinton voting for McCain in '08 instead of Obama (25% I believe).

I've been busy with trying to make myself more productive so I've been doing a day a day, if that makes sense up to Day 7 for Week 1 and I have to say, this game is still as fantastic as it was on the DS.

First things first, it's TWEWY, so there's a learning curve to the gameplay. That means motion controls are mandatory, and there's also an added issue of the joycon pointer floating off to the side. But it's not an issue. You can place the joycon controls down to reset the gyrometer and stop the pointer's issue of floating away. The general controls on the other hand require practice. I've been playing Solo Co-op mode and let me tell you, it's as hectic as the DS version. Though your partner is invincible, it's a lot more work to manage 2 pointer controls to input attacks on multiple different enemies. Most of us aren't musicians, much less drummers, so our hands are going to try to imitate each other; bad idea when you need 2 different types of input and to be pointing at 2 different places at once. CoD lied to me when they made aiming seem so simple to run dual wielding pistols!

Another change is that before, we had a puck that bounced between screens which boosted the attack power of a combo between partners, now we have a fusion pin where comboing an enemy with both partners will boost until it hits 100% where you can do a super move.

So at the beginning when I started out, it was climbing the learning curve all over again. "Why am I not slashing?", "How do I move Shiki?", "Oh my God why did I did do this to myself?". The game was just stressful, but fun. But now that I've figured out the flow of the game, it is simply FUN! Between the partner being on the same screen with you, fighting side by side, and the Fusion pin, the gameplay flows so much nicer than the DS game. And it's more fitting to the storyline as they make a big emphasis on how you are helpless without your partner near you. The DS version has your partner fighting the same enemies in some parallel dimension as opposed while you fight them in another arena simultaneously. Here, you're both in the same place fighting the monsters. It's much cleaner.

Other than that, I'm enjoying going through the story once more, Neku is still as obnoxious and as big of an emo jerk as ever, but that's part of the reason why we love him so much, no?

One time I was walking up the street to my house and the police did a sting operation at the local corner store. Guns Blazing, SWAT team, the whole shebang. CT's OST is far more concise and so the songs stand out far more, like the Opening/Main theme and Corridors of Time. This will definitely lead to the songs making a stronger impression than CC's massive OST. I always say that CC has one of the greatest OSTs ever created, but I wouldn't put one above the other.
