Now Churchill isn't the godlike perfect hero that he's romanticised as sometimes (nobody ever is) but he's not some awful f*** either and in the context of the time, it's not so ridiculous. It would of course be a scandal and severely reduce his chances of getting him elected if he said s*** like that today (I would have said "make him unelectable" but I'm not so sure at the moment).

Things that were released later that hypothetically could have been competition if they were released alongside FFVII probably wouldnt have been as good as they became because they wouldnt have had FFVII as a reference point

Please read the fucking script of Final Fantasy VII. It needs a massive overhaul to get close to the level of consistent sentence structure that most games today feature. I mean, I wouldn't expect Vlado to consider writing quality in anything, but FF7 painted a basic structure that was sound. In today's market, that game would be lambasted for the simplistic nature of dialogue.

Also not all games need great story or characters to be great.

Really not even gameplay or music, although those are fringe cases.

I think that's off in the same way that saying all rectangles are square would be.

Certainly you would need to be in a position of privilege to believe that, but at the same time you can be in a position of privilege and still have empathy for those who aren't.

Toronto police were notified by several fans watching on social media and in the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. Police were telling fans that they were well aware of the tweet and were investigating it, and looking for Sensation in the arena. WWE was also aware of the situation and investigating.

Vince Russo sent a text to Sensation reminding him that he has "an army of people out here that care for you." Wrestling Inc. sent a text to Russo, who confirmed that he heard back from Sensation. According to Russo, Sensation confirmed that the tweet was a joke, he is OK and he is sorry.

The whole basis for it being ok (in my opinion) in the police case is that the suspect had already done something that necessitated police intervention and was actively resisting said intervention. In other words it's not actually preemptive in that case.

Not true actually. He was a passenger in the car from which murder had occurred, but there was no evidence that he was the shooter (and IIRC he wasnt).

Just to be clear, the direction I was going with Corrik was to compare this situation (where he doesnt excuse pre-emptive murder) with the case where the officer shot and killed a drive by murder suspect while he was fleeing, which was defended as what if he then went and killed someone later?
