Haven't kept up with anime in a while, but I think Crunchy usually assigns people to each series each season, and you can rather easily tell the good ones from the bad. They can do quality localization when the right person is assigned to a show. I was wondering about that. The anime I watch there usually have decent subs with rare errors, but I started watching Ultraman Nexus and the subs look like they were thrown together over a weekend by some ESL freelancer desperate for cash. Knowing someone who was involved in translating/subbing videos as a freelancer, whenever I see mistakes like this I laugh. >_> --- Since I'm not popular, I'll post on GameFAQs. |
