Whereas if you pick Link, you've still got a decent shot to win even if there is a rally by virtue of being a B8er who knows what they are doing and picking everything else well, because most of the people picking the rallied character to win were probably filling out dream brackets or something like that. On the other hand, there are only so many characters who could expect a big Draven/Undertale-esque rally. If you pick the right one, you're a lock to do extremely well because you're a B8er who knew how to pick the rest of the bracket. Most people don't really follow politics, after all. If you don't pay attention, it's easy enough to just believe the GOP is doing all the stuff you want except when the Democrats stop them. Note that the "ignorant" thing also applies to Democrat voters. I was going to point out how useless the old stats would have been, but they're surprisingly decent. Sonic disappoints a lot, but nobody ever comes close to actually pulling the upset in 1v1 matches; I see no reason for Squall to break the trend. And in the end, I'll go with Sonic > Mewtwo because I don't think Mewtwo's strong enough to win there without a rally and/or bandwagon, which I wouldn't want to rely on with such limited information about the rest of the contest.
