Logan dies in 2029 of the future you see at the end of DofP. Seeing as 2023 gets fucked up and Wolverine goes back to 1973 to change things, it wouldn't be hard to pull out some half assed thing to avoid Wolverine's death for 2029. Especially with Cable around and the future of Deadpool 2 seeming like several years even further than Logan.

That's if the MCU were taking place in 2029. Likely, mutants joining Disney will completely wipe Logan's future since there's no Avengers around in Logan.

I wonder how true the rumors are about New Mutants, Dark Phoenix and all the other Fox movies being canceled except X-Force.

They seem to indicate that X-23 from Logan and some of the actors from New Mutants are going to be intersected into X-Force and attach them as Deadpool 3. Sounds like they might start a clean slate but with the same actors. Deadpool 2's ending can easily explain this.

Also the rumor points out that the Kevin Feige confirmed upcoming Eternals MCU movie is supposed to bring in the mutants.

On the subject of Hugh Jackman, if he's offered, he'll definitely come back. Ever since he heard about the merger, he's been talking to all the MCU actors about how things could look. Dude is pretty excited and he'll come on board.

That's right.

That's incorrect. James Mangold already confirmed it's the same timeline post-DoFP and takes place after the future scene at the end of DoFP.
