heyo, just start writing. Getting started is the hardest part especially because you'll have huge expectations before jumping into something. You can always go back and edit your work so it's not like anything you write has to be permanent.

Just starting to write, setting goals for how much you want to do each day, etc will all help. Finding the write words/series of events is kinda like finding a needle in a haystack - all of your practice/writing throughout however long drafting takes will be the haystack and it's up to you to find the "spark" that gets you going (needle).

Your book will NEVER be completed if you don't start writing it at some point and then continue to write. Even if your outline/whatever basis you have makes it overwhelming you still have to start somewhere so maybe start during the second or third chapter/act?

Also, if you're writing about Germany but don't necessarily feel knowledgeable enough to have an accurate representation then why not make an alternate version of the USA (or wherever you live) with aspects of Germany/German culture that you picked up during your research? Unless, of course, you're aiming for a literal representation of Germany, then idk.

It depends. Guns are objects and tools so it depends on the person using them how they are perceived.

A guy can stab someone with a screwdriver and, in that instance, the screwdriver is utilized as a tool of destruction. A guy can build a shelf using that same screwdriver and it's a tool of creation.

Same with guns - they can be used for home defense or hunting (opens potential for future 'creation') or as murder weapons. AR-15s are pretty common rifles, don't have much recoil so are easy for smaller people to shoot, look scary, and are well-rounded for more than one application...Them being so common and their appearance are the biggest reason they're infamous. If recent shooters had all favored something like a Glock 21 or the like then that could have easily been the "gun that's so bad"

There are legal to own guns with higher stopping power, faster potential rate of fire, etc but they aren't common so nobody bats an eye.

Quitting smoking and drinking. I'm down to 2 or 3 cigs a day from the 12-15 I was smoking at the start of 2018. Drinking is tougher since I still have a beer every other day or so, but I'm not getting drunk or anything like I was last year.

That's about it. I might apply for law school since I got a 171 on the LSAT recently, but I don't think that would be a good choice for me mentally or financially..

Yeah I get that. Not to defend my actions but I'd be willing to say most people don't do what's right for them even tho it may not be apparent that they're causing harm to themselves. Like, judging others and not showing empathy to people you disagree with or may be in a different place in life can be worse than anything because all it does is lock doors of possibilities while throwing away the key.

women want guys who are sure enough of who they are that they don't feel a need to prove everything to others. ideally you want to be right on the edge of confident and egotistical when it comes to whatever you do that is the base attractive point for the girl.

So, like, if a girl likes artistic types - she'd be more likely to go for the painter who may not be the best but sticks to what he loves rather than the one-hit wonder who spends times talking about "how great they are" despite never creating things after that one, great painting.

Of course you'll wind up with girls without self-respect who'll go after anyone who gives them any form of attention but that's hardly a gender issue and more of a depressed/low-self esteem individual issue.

and like, this probably won't help since it's the same argument functioning alcoholics make, but it's not negatively affecting my professional life. It does my personal life/emotions to a point, but over the last year I've made an effort to not get close to others so as to avoid upsetting them or hurting them emotionally.

Probably more fuel for my newly acquired haters today, but I'm not a good person so the best thing I can do is not get close to anyone. yeah it's enjoyable, but it's risky to give in to it. medication helps for that to keep you stable

I don't partake in risky behaviour outside of sex stuff but even then it's not that risky imo. Like the relationships/leading girls on thing is a drag but that's more of trust issues than anything but the episodes play a hand in the sense that I wouldn't bother getting into relationships if it weren't because of them. Like, I said "too much" because my idea of too much is more than one different girl in a month, I'd rather be sleeping with the same girl over and over.

I've taken mood stabilizers before but they don't make me feel anything and I usually can get a hold on it most times anyway. Like, my worst episode was three days of me recording tambourines for a track I was working on, deleting it due to being 4hz or however much out of tune from the guitar tracks, and repeating with a different tambourine until it was right - spent like 500 dollars...

I guess the best way to describe it is hyper-inflated OCD with projects/ideas. I get crazy on the music stuff mostly then overwhelmed because I currently have 37 tracks I'm working on and none are close to finished. It's annoying because I don't have space for all this quarter inch tape.

The worst one involving people was I broke up with my girlfriend, said she was an evil person, and then calling her to take me back like 5 times in a row before saying "i'm getting back with crazy girl instead of you, bye" then she was like "wtf dude, i was gonna talk to you once you cooled off but now I'm done with you cus you basically cheated on me"

and that's the story of my people.

it's something. I'm diagnosed borderline personality so whatever that gives me. I think mania is for bipolars only unless I'm mistaken.

But to get to brass tax (tacks?) - Every so often my brain will feel like "whooosh" and it's like flashes of thoughts and ideas are streaming through me and I end up getting super inspired, but bite off more than I can chew. Then I'm like "all these ideas, gotta get things done" and run around like a chicken with no head. Y'know, like when a chicken gets its head chopped off and runs around. Then I'll feel like I'm on top of the world and not sleep at all, still try all those ideas but in terms of actually enacting them it's like 1% at a time then I jump to the next thing.

And then I get laid too much when that happens like that's half of what I think about so I'll go to bars and stuff and be super charismatic to girls.

Then a flip switches, everything crashes down on me, and I'm like "this isn't my house, this is not my beautiful wife...how did I get here??!?" and have an emotional meltdown, call my crazy ex-girlfriend, she'll cuddle me, and then I'll be depressed af for a bit til it comes round again.

isn't personality a construct? Who you are as a person is constantly changing with new information and "you" is made up of various perceptions - i.e. the complete picture of who you are can only be painted by how you view yourself and how everyone you've interacted with views you.

So, in a sense, you aren't "whole" without other people and only get a glimpse of your true self on your own. So viewing your ego through one lens only obfuscates the complete picture to the point that there may have been no self to begin with.

With that said, if gender norms don't matter and are a construct then why should the fact that someone is trans? Just as perception of self is only a part of what makes a person the self-proclaimed gender identity is also a mere facet of who they are.
