Why does the movie need to be remade, what does making it live action do to improve it?

It's easy money.

Also, while people who like animation may disagree, much of the general public simply don't prefer the look of cartoons, don't consider it a serious entertainment medium, and prefer live action.

Making live action versions of previously famous cartoon movies means Disney gets to appeal to the general public's preference for live action with an IP that's already widely recognized.

Out of curiosity, any reason why?

As I understand it, something to do with providing jobs for low skilled workers.

I forget where it was, a place that previously did not allow people to pump their own gas changed the law, and in protest a women went to a gas station and sprayed gas all over other people's cars to show why it shouldn't be allowed (although it doesn't make any sense because it's allowed everywhere else with no problems).

The issue is unless the sex was recorded or all parties signed legal documents proving consent beforehand, there is no evidence that the sex continued after consent was withdrawn.

That's purely for NES games, and even then, I don't think that's so much a matter of wanting to sell them through their subscription service as it is them adding an incentive to the service. The service's primary function is online play. Everything else is just a bonus (some of which, like save backups, should be available without it, but that's another story).

Nintendo has already said in response to if they're bringing the Virtual Console back that they are not.

They are from now on going to "offer" the games that were previously on the Virtual Console, on the subscription service.

They aren't trying to get people to pay for a subscription service to play the newer games.

Also, Nintendo straight refuses to sell these retro games now, they only want to have them accessible though their subscription service. And they refuse to release most of them even on their subscription service. Even if you pay the subscription service, it comes with crazy DRM.

Not to mention, the games are so old, they're almost valueless in the the first place (although Nintendo has long been upcharging for very old games even when they were selling them, and are also famous for refusing to lower prices even as games age).

Defy is a media company that suddenly shut down last week and fired everyone without notifying any of it's employees and having not paid many of the people that they owned money for months.

After their closure, many of their former employees and partners came out and vented about what a terrible company they were and their many shady business practices.

It's speculated that the owners had planned to shut down for a while, so they stopped paying people they owned money in order to accumulate it before taking off. They also got $70 million in investments last year that people are alleging they still have and ran off with instead of paying the people they owe.

According to Ian, even though Defy suddenly shut down and fired everyone without notice, they gave him access to all the Smosh channels again so he can try to continue running it himself, as well as access to their still unaired content so they can upload it themselves, although I'm not sure if any legal transfer of the rights were actually done.

As I said in the opening post, they were given stocks by Defy, but Defy never entered their company into the stock market, so the stocks could never produce money. This isn't the stocks not making money because the company did poorly, this was the stocks not making money because stocks can't produce or lose money if the company isn't actually in the stock market and never intends to be part of it.

Defy gave Ian and Anthony stock of the company instead of cash in exchange for buying Smosh, but never entered the company into the stock market, so Ian and Anthony never actually got any money from said stock.

So they were essentially scammed. They gave up all rights to their brand and any control over it, for nothing.

Can't say I'm against the idea of having sex with a trans person. Here is the thing though. Are you really considered to be homosexual if you want to have sex with a pre op FTM trans person or a post op MTF trans person? I mean one is technically still female while the other certainly looks like one.

I understand this, as well... One is technically a female, but looks like a male. I would say that that is probably more on the line of homosexuality a guy than having sex with a post-op MTF trans person because that person looks like a female. But in the end, people can have sex with who they want...

You can't tell if a series is a hit after the first episode. The new Star Trek show had great opening numbers but it was still considered a commercial disaster because people gave up on the show early.

Lucky for the show, the entire first season was funded by Netflix who are now feeling royally scammed, so they are still making a 2nd season since it was a 0 risk endeavor for CBS.

And the 2nd season is taking cues from The Orville, which is a show that's based off of Star Trek.
