Speaking of Robby does he have natural green eyes? The show's HDness makes his eyes pop, and they're gorgeous. Him and Larusso's wife have similar colored eyes, and they're so mesmerizing, I get lost in them.

New blonde girl, what's her deal. They adding a sexy girl to the mix, someone for Sam to fight while Robby fights Miguel, action movie style?

Also I like how Miguel is... actually still quite sympathetic. He's not this big evil bully now. Or at least hasn't been yet.

Daniel and Johnny really up their acting even more in season 2, Johnny in particular. He was so good.

I was kind of surprised by this. I haven't seen him in anything else but it turns out he's actually a pretty good comedic actor.

I've only ever seen William Zabka in this, obviously, and the original movies, and also How I Met Your Mother. He plays himself in quite a few episodes, because one of the main characters considers him the hero of the movie and the real Karate Kid. So they had both him and Ralph Macchio in one episode late in the series. This would have been 2012 to 2014ish. I don't know if it had anything to do with it in reality but I like to think Cobra Kai came about because of this

Loool I've actually thought that exact same thing. I'm not really into himym but I've actually seen the episode with karate kid and learning the one dude's favorite movie for different reasons.

Made me wonder what a coincidence it was that cobra kai came about a few years after the whole "who was really the karate kid" meme that himym started was getting popular.

Lol so much of what's mentioned so far is true. I'll mention something that's very applicable to the culture I live in:

It's not what you know or how hard you work, it's who you know and how well you network/integrate yourself into the social circles. Being a grinder isn't enough, hell being creative isn't enough. You need to have charm most importantly, and having those other things like creativity/hard work ethic is just a plus/bonus.

Oh no I knew what you meant, I didn't think you were saying that either, I was just trying to say that even if I did consider him a bad guy, he's still just likable. Even with all the bad stuff he's done and still does. And I really like that about the show, it really is way better than it has any business being.

Even the concept of black and white isn't really used in the real world, it's something from an 80s movie. I don't dislike Daniel or blame him for jumping to conclusions and am not against him at all, he has a point. But even if I consider Johnny to be a "villain" in the traditional sense (which I don't) he's still sympathetic and very likable. And I feel bad for him. The show does a really good job of that. I wish more shows were able to make you sympathetic for a character in such a good way.

Yes. The region's more varied than one might think (beyond ocean, rivers, forests, mountains, I mean) as it also regions east of the Cascades, including Eastern WA, Idaho, and sometimes Montana depending on how broadly you're talking. That means that while it does include the well-known oceans, mountains, and forests to the far west, it also includes places like this:
https://www.durlandphotoart.com/images/02aDSC_8088.jpg
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/be/Palouse_fields%2C_Washington_from_Kamiak_Butte.jpg

While most massive trees that weren't destroyed via rampant deforestation exist west of the Cascades, you can find a few east of them, like this area:
https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/idaho/ancient-forest-in-id/

The rolling hills area of the Pacific Northwest (Palouse) used to be vast meadowland covered in flowers with very few trees before it was converted for human agricultural use. Apparently, this would result in hills being completely covered by singular types of flowers, making them purple or red, etc. Purple was pretty common, I think? Been a while since I learned about the Palouse region.

Even within ecosystems, there's some unexpected stuff. The San Juan islands have a native cactus species, for example.

One place that's pretty neat is Fort Worden, in Port Townsend. That's just west of Seattle across the water. It's got this weird mix of being right near the sea, partially in woodland, and also having some cool historic stuff. The fort began being built in the late 1890s.
https://i.pinimg.com/originals/f6/c2/85/f6c285ac2f532ac72a52e64c850fb038.jpg

Bit of everything in that region, really. If you can manage it, try to visit the Puget Sound region (Hood Canal is probably the best place to go) during the late summer and get in a canoe or kayak or whatever at sundown. Get onto the water and watch your paddles and the edges of your boat. Alternatively, you can stay on land and use a stick, but it doesn't have quite the same effect.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk or whatever. I know a decent amount about the region so if you have questions I can oblige I suppose.

It's utterly breathtaking, really makes you introspective doesn't it

So at the end of the avengers endgame, what do we have? Iron Man dead, Thor fat and lazy and basically the russo brothers showing just how much they hate him, captain america selfishly staying back in time to be with his one time crush during war, completely erasing the guy she actually did marry and the family tree that extends from there, like the niece he was also weirdly romantical with.

Ironically Hulk is the only one doesn't have a completely shitty ending, though we don't actually get to see the journey of human hulk and green hulk reconciling to become one Hulk. Still it was nice and the taco scene was one of the saving graces of the movie.

But yeah that was not a great sendoff to the starting Avengers members was it? I mean... was it?

Only to kill Logan? Weird. I kinda liked the season otherwise, thought it was not bad although things were wrapped up a little too well. Like they had a good idea for the most part, and 8 episodes means it's pretty tight and moves fast paced, but they also tied up things in a bowtie that don't make sense, like Big Dick getting beheaded and his pal Clyde getting away with a lot of stuff.

Well I don't know about that, but I do like the angle they played with the blue collar workers, and once again tying it to New York, although Michael Keaton is of course infinitely more intimidating than the vulture.

But I liked the take on the vulture they did, when I wasn't expecting much from a lame-ish villain.
They did good with both villains, since Vulture and Mysterio are fucking jokes.

Mysterio's only impressive when he's fighting Wolverine.

Certainly not Mysterio though! He was on IGN's list of greatest comic book villains

I'd have to go and rewatch the show again before I do that

You could but it's not necessary, I only like season 1 the most anyway. People disliked season 3 but I honestly thought season 2 was the one with the most holes. Season 1 is the best story and the tightest with the most mindblowing twist that left me absolutely reeling when the case was solved.

But season 2 was ridiculous with what it does to season 1 and just how the season plays out (by the end of the season some kid was able to sneak a bomb on a plane? In a post 9/11 world? What even is this ridiculousness? And not in a good way) plus some more individual gripes I had. Season 3 was just eh, and so was the movie.

But that first season, that was just insane. I still can't get over that reveal and how shocked I was the first time I saw it.
