It's far more honest to say "I don't have the time/motivation for this."

Noted. I may actually spend more time in Alexandria this year. Not like I don't like MAG, but it's three days worth spread out over four and there's really only so much to see given all that time. :)

I did walk Old Town last year, but it didn't really have the stuff I'd be into. One of the older guys at work recommended it, but then I later recalled he was in fact an older guy and our interests don't really align.

Then again, I'd be able to play RE4 on the go if I got the Switch version.

Yes, first world problems, but then again, can one really have too many versions of RE4 of all games?

I gotta say that it says a lot about RE4 that a decade and a half later we're still discussing the merits of its weapons.

Also that we still have people that ride or die on certain loadouts.

I still remember the first time I played through that game I went ham on the Punisher and then later realized that it was almost universally considered the worst gun in the game.

EDIT: Now that I'm thinking more on it, I feel a lot of it has to do with the limited space available for weapons in the game, and the fact that you were required to pick your favorite children. If the game allowed you to carry every weapon at once, this discussion wouldn't have lasted nearly as long as it has. :)

When you think about it, it's a rule that pretty much led directly to the Jedi Purge, or at least made a convenient catalyst for it.

If Anakin had someone to talk to about his relationship with Padme, in particular his vision of her dying in childbirth, like say Kenobi or Yoda, he might have been convinced "Hey maybe it isn't necessarily true, because 'always in motion, the future is'."

Instead he had to keep it secret, stay in his own head worrying about it, and let Palpy just run him ragged on it. The very reason he bends the knee is to save Padme.

EDIT: Then again, it leads to a poignant plot point in VIII that Luke makes, that the Jedi Order's hubris is in fact what led to their downfall, letting Sidious just hang out under their noses.

"The Jedi Code" forbidding relationships and children was manufactured by Lucas for the prequels seemingly entirely for the purpose of ensuring Anakin had a "good" reason to turn to the Dark Side.

In the end, a pretty cheap reason.

Again, false. Germany was destined to fail because they were directly against Russia, which as I said, committed and sacrificed far more to the war effort than the US did. The UK and the rest of Europe could have fallen or been in a much worse condition if the US didn't intervene, but eventually Stalin and the USSR would have rolled over him, although the costs would have probably been a lot higher.

I've never actually finished a Souls game. Bounced off Demon's Souls. Bounced off Dark Souls 1.

And I'm aware that Fallen Order takes enough departures from the genre to not "truly" be a Souls game, but I figure it's close enough that I can make that analogy.

Because "You seem upset" doesn't really translate well to Spanish and I originally had "molesto", which translates more closely to "annoying" than "angry".

Seems pretty nice so far. For some reason I'm having the most fun finding out new lore. I always did like that part of Star Wars; all the cute critters and how they fit into their world's ecosystem. Really feels like there was someone dedicated to putting all that together and props to them.

Went to Dathomir first because I heard the double-bladed saber was quicker to get there. What I didn't learn was that you have to go through several rough and tough enemies, and after getting bodied by them one too many times, I'm like eh, I'll just go to the Zeffo Homeworld. Yeah I'm a scrub at Souls games. I'll deal.

Also watched both the Girlfriend Reviews and the Zero Punctuation videos on the games (I watch each of them regularly) and I was struck by the fact that GR reviewed the game more harshly than Yahtzee did. Never thought I'd see the day.

So there are other people that work at your job besides you.

Therefore, while that meeting might have not seemed to apply to you, management made sure everyone was included so the message was clear across the board and to not specifically call out the individuals who are guilty of this.

That's usually what these situations mean.
