Timberlands are sloppy?

Timberland boots that look like they've been through a battlefield and caked full of mud are definitely sloppy; nobody wants to clean up after that shit, especially if they still have wet cement on them. That's why the sign says "Work and construction boots," not "Timberlands."

Its like, anyone who has ever left their basement and had any sort of real social interaction knows what they're doing here. If they wanted to go fine dining, they could have just simply banned casual dress across the board, but theres a reason things like cargo shorts and flip flops arent on that list

Exactly. People pretending to not see it are either incredibly sheltered or incredibly disingenuous.

Or tourism restaurants know better than to exclude everyone from out of town by banning all casual wear. My cousin runs a restaurant similar to this one with fine dining prices, and they permit casual wear all the same. Hell, he'll show up to work wearing a t-shirt and pants that look like pajama bottoms.

So the problem isnt casual wear, its sloppiness.

I filled in the blank for you.

Though in fairness, I don't get what the difference in formality is between a jersey and a T-shirt.

One is absolutely tacky for a non-athlete to wear even on game day (but I guess a little more acceptable for the restaurant then), and the other is just a t-shirt.

I saw Neil deGrasse Tyson at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didnt want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, Oh, like youre doing now?
I was taken aback, and all I could say was Huh? but he kept cutting me off and going huh? huh? huh? and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like Sir, you need to pay for those first. At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually to prevent any electrical infetterence, and then turned around and winked at me. I dont even think thats a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Let's fix the real problem with skyrocketing tuition (and consequently, obscene student loan debts): everyone and their grandmother have been told by the powers that be that they absolutely have to attend college to get by in the adult world even though trade schools and direct job training are just as viable options for obtaining a living wage if not more so (and I'm sure the commonly-repeated pejorative "uneducated" doesn't help one bit either).

It's just pure supply and demand economics: if the demand for something is high, the price the supplier sets is going to be high; and if demand is low, the price is going to be set low in return.

I propose that as soon as autonomous cars are perfected and become widely available, all currently licensed drivers should be downgraded to an autonomous vehicle-only license (with a standard license available that requires far more stringent testing if one still wishes to drive standard vehicles).

he's not weak, he is strong. it takes strong willpower to resist the urge to slaughter your enemies. the people calling him weak are immature and ignorant and don't get it

For each person that the supervillain kills after his life was originally spared by the superhero, the superhero is essentially responsible for each and every one of those deaths and should be ran out of town by those that survive the victims. By killing the supervillain after they kill at least one innocent person, those other lives may never have been lost.

But no, hypocritical superheroes would rather have the shitty "moral" of "it's better for mass murderers to stay alive at the risk of them being able to kill dozens or hundreds of innocents when they escape prison yet again than to make sure they never can kill again by just killing the supervillain after they kill even once."

So Golden Age refers to comic books written in a certain time frame. Outside of that it can mean a lot of different things depending on the title and publisher in question. Typically long running characters were written and treated differently depending on the market and society of the time they were in. In the Golden Age, Batman was fairly different than how hes known today.

The easiest way to describe Golden Age (30s/40s)Batman would be to point at the Tim Burton movies.

Silver Age Batman (50s/60s) is Adam West.

Idk if there are direct mainstream examples of other comic eras. (Bronze, Dark, etc)

Not to mention Golden Age Batman had no problem killing and used guns like it was nothing
