Mysterio not only knows about the multiverse in the comics but the Mysterio of the Ultimate universe was eventually revealed to be an android remotely controlled by the main universe Mysterio and sent out to conquer the Ultimate universe.

The pure joy of the Spiderman Theme remix at the end really nails in the head how forgettable the soundtrack for the rest of the MCU is.

The Avengers theme is fantastic, and there's a few others here and there.

It's like 80% forgettable though.

EG spoilers...Ross was at Tony's funeral and not going after anyone, and his daughter was snapped, so I imagine that having the most virulent supporter of the Accords be thankful to the Avengers might also help.

I suspect Rhodey's court martial never went anywhere as the military and government had their hands full.

Just kinda thought about something. While I did enjoy Stark calling Thor Lebowski does that mean in their universe that Jeff Bridges exists as an actor and he just looks exactly like Obadiah from Iron Man 1?

There's other instances of this too. Cap's list in Winter Soldier has Star Wars on it so he'd be weirded out when he sees Mace, and EG references Hot Tub Time Machine which Sebastian Stan is in.

This is true. Seems like the only active Avengers at the time were Tony, Rhodey, and Vision, and with that low a roster maybe they didn't need staff.

Iron Man + Spider-Man + Doctor Strange + Mantis + Drax + Quill seemed like they basically beat Thanos with 4 or 5 Stones in Infinity War if Quill wasn't a dumbass. Maybe I'm forgetting someone but that was roughly the group. Nebula might've been there. Anyway point is when the final battle is those 6 of 7 + a bunch of other people vs Thanos without the stones it feels like we're de-escalating a bit, especially since the army scenario was basically the ending of Infinity War.

Anyway honestly I didn't have much of a problem with the scene, liked it even in a "hell yeah these guys are badasses doing badass things" kinda way, so this is kinda nitpicking don't get me wrong. I'm just explaining why I kinda was hoping for a bit more somewhere, why 'just' fighting Thanos kinda stopped doing it for me as much after 2 long movies with a bunch of cool fight scenes.

Them beating him was entirely contingent on Mantis though. Remove her and throw in extra people who are better fighters and they still lose

There was no time to plan in the final battle in EG. He ambushed them, and the only planning that got done was Strange gathering the reinforcements. Given that he had like thirty minutes to gather the Wakandans, Asgardians, sorcerers, and Ravagers I'm guessing he couldn't tell each much other than "Get ready for a big fight with Thanos, gonna open a portal" and that's it.

EG Thanos may have been lower in power but he was much more brutal and bloodthirsty in combat which I think made the difference. IW Thanos held back a lot and just wanted to see his work done, convinced the universe would be grateful after.

EG saw that they wouldn't and was going all out.

I don't mind people enjoying the time travel element but please don't insult my intelligence by saying finding the stones would somehow be more contrived than solving time travel before bed time.

He didn't figure it out in one night. It's implied he's been working on it for a while and Scott gave him the last bit of info he needed. Before he runs the simulation he tells Friday to run "one more simulation" as he had something new he wanted to try.

But they're going to split these shows across the two different services? That seems odd. I can only assume these two shows won't be part of the MCU?

They'll likely be similar to Agents of SHIELD where they're canon but the shows reference the movies and not vice versa.

Strange's powers don't come from the time stone. He's a sorcerer. He rarely uses the stone to begin with.

They all knew how to get there because Strange had already viewed that future in IW and knew what he needed to do. He had roughly twenty to thirty minutes from the time the snap was undone to coordinate the forces at Wakanda, New Asgard, Titan, and wherever the Ravagers where, and he has the abilities to pull that off.

Thanos is a beast even without the gauntlet and he was fighting to kill here, unlike IW Thanos who was more measured and just wanted the stones. Remember, IW Thanos beats the Hulk without using the power stone even though he has it.

I also want to add my appreciation for Mantis. Even when she's not the focus of the scene, her facials and anything she does in the background really steal the show. Just go out of your way to watch her at some point.

For instance, in the Girl Power scene, all the women have this look of determination and badassery, and Mantis has this look of concern, but putting on a brave face with a much less heroic pose than the rest. She's great.

A good example of this is when Quill tells everyone to put on their mean faces when the Guardians first appear in IW, and Mantis immediately starts making a weird growly face in the background for the rest of the scene.

Mantis high up is good even if I disagree with other parts of the list. Pom Klementieff is great. My own list is pretty malleable, she'd probably be higher if I did it again.
