If you get the drop on a group of enemies, and you should plenty often thanks to VATS ability to highlight anything in vision, you can drop a few grenades in that have a decent change of crippling some limbs even if they don't do all that much damage. --- All generalizations are false, including this one. |

If you know you're going to be taking damage, you eat it before the fight and it helps keep up since everything is gradual. The good ones heal for 30 seconds or a minute.
