Fair assessment.

I think the multi-perspective structure of the episode created quite the gripping narrative and I found Lewis' end quite powerful personally. Season two could've benefited from an episode similar to this I think.

Fair enough! I don't hate kids either but I think the song is hilarious! Cancerslug does that comedy horror punk sound really well, they're like a modern day successor to the Misfits and I love it.

These lists were interesting! I knew the horror movies with no deaths would be a tough one, but those were pretty good choices. I'm glad you didn't count things like American Psycho.

To clarify, only the movie version of Silent Hill was specifically based on Centralia. I want to visit a lot too, you would definitely have to be prepared though. Apparently the town is so toxic you need a gas mask otherwise you would die from lack of air. And there's supposedly a lot of sinkholes that can randomly open up too.

And yes, the graphical limitations thing is true!

I haven't played this game yet because no PS4, but Jim Sterling once called this game where survival horror lives on. From what I've seen, I'm inclined to agree with him. The Souls series in general carries the spirit of survival horror with their games; inventory management, grotesque creatures, exploration, challenging encounters with resource drain, light puzzle solving, and many surprises mark the Souls games as survival horror more than you may think. Bloodborne's environments take it a step further for me. They're incredibly dark and grimy and foreboding. This is one of the games I can't wait to play for PS4.

I'd just like to start off saying that I will never be able to play this game, and as a survival horror megafan that pains me to no end. P.T., which stands for Playable Teaser, was THE hot-button game of 2014. It saw the partnership of Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro, a match made in heaven, and was meant to be a showcase of what was to come in the full game, Silent Hills. P.T. lit up the gaming world with devious puzzles, great scares and atmosphere, and general promise of what was to come. Unfortunately, P.T. was ultimately the go to poster boy for Konami's meltdown; a topic covered to death and back by now. P.T. was removed from the PlayStation store along with any hope for Silent Hills, starting a roller coaster ride of misery between Konami and Kojima and Konami console game development. P.T. lives on in spirit; games like Layers of Fear, The Park, and the upcoming Allison Road (which was actually cancelled for awhile) carry the torch and legacy of P.T.'s hallways and horror in their game design. We may have lost an excellent game, but a phoenix always rises from the ashes.
