There are an assload of sensors out there that can handle suboptimal lighting. All rgb-d sensors have infrared and they are cheap

Labels don't pop out of nowhere. They're created by human annotators whether it's the developer or people hired to do it

That's all there is to that. And for computer vision problems, you can't make algorithms that are robust to skin color if the developers dont bother to reach out and gather a more diverse data set. There are black and other minority researchers making a push to stop these dumbass labels from popping up in systems by collecting their own data or modifying existing data sets but there are not that many of them out there in the first place

I guess I should also mention that I don't have the discipline to follow strict training regimes and probably never will unless my weight is life altering. I'm at my current heaviest at 5'10 ~170-175 after 3 years of sitting on my ass and drinking. I was in my prime in hs football at 160, and the main difference back then was that I could see my abs.

I was in top shape from childhood up until finishing grad school because of sports, so its carried me a bit these past 3 years. That and my parents are vegan/vegetarian so while I'm not, my diet is similar to them and the unhealthiest thing I do is have a couple drinks a few nights a week. So my personal justification on dropping $300 was to be able to hop on it anytime while I got tv or music playing in the background, because unless I have a training partner or coach ($$$), me going to the gym is largely a waste >_>

It's fine, it has you moving against resistance. Don't pay much for it and don't make it your only source of resistance training. For minimal equipment, buying a kettlebell off of eBay (cheapest deal is usually 1$ per pound) and a doorframe pull-up bar are good investments.

Emphatically no. WHAT you eat alters insulin sensitivity and other factors, which adjusts the ease at which you can REACH a caloric deficit.

This does not deny simple thermodynamics (calories in, calories out); it means what it takes to hit that formula the right way is manipulated by metabolic variables, which is why food choice is important.

It's something I've wanted to do since I was a kid other than being a professor, great pay (I live solo as a homeowner in the DC area), good work environment with flexible hours, I get to travel pretty often, and my coworkers are great

For the first month of school we used to take turns playing a Microsoft flight simulator while the machines were carving shit and of course everyone intentionally crashed the planes into terrain, the sea, or buildings
