Aladdin is Fodder Line. The Lion King is a more popular Disney movie, and I don't think a huge number of people will vote for him based on a few well-received games from the early 90s.

Skull Kid I think will be pretty strong based on Majora's Mask being old enough for prime nostalgia voting. Low Midcarder for him.

Ada could just be high fodder, but I think that she'll be stronger than Claire based on pure sex appeal and the fact that she appears in RE2 and 4. She also has a lot more appearances in main RE games in general than Claire. Fodder Line for her.

Superman is a Low Midcarder. recognizable enough to get over the fodder line, but he doesn't have much in terms of relevant game appearances. His best-known game is Superman 64, which probably disappointed a lot of Gfaqs users as kids. His turn as a villain in Injustice was hit-or-miss with most people.

Jak is High Fodder thanks to recent rereleases of his games.

King Boo is Mid Fodder. I honestly think a regular Boo could be stronger than him.

Roy is High Fodder. Well-liked in Smash, but he has nothing else besides Melee nostalgia.

Homer is a Low Midcarder. He is very recognizable and has countless associated memes from the show that get him above the fodder line. But I don't think there is much of a fanbase for Simpsons games on the site.

Agree with everyone on Mid Fodder for Ecco.

naw you're good, I will keep the Ice Climbers in. They're only really a duo in Smash, but they definitely deserve a look.

Death I think is Fodder Line. All things considered, Simon looked VERY good in CBX. Castlevania has quite a bit of strength right now.

Scrooge McDuck is High Fodder. DuckTales was a popular game on the NES, but I don't think the remake had a huge amount of interest. Scrooge's peak strength was in the 90s, and I doubt much of Gfaqs cares about the modern DuckTales show.

Pic factor could be important for The Joker, but I assume he would get a pic from either the Arkham series or Injustice. I will put him as a Midcarder, but I think if he was in a contest 8 to 10 years ago he'd be stronger.

Bill Rizer is low fodder. A lot of people will have no idea who he is, much less make the association with Contra.

Bowser Jr. I think is being very underrated. He's like a 5th tier Nintendo character, but most ninty reps have some strength. He's also in smash. Fodder Line for Jr.

Simba is a Low Midcarder Everyone knows him and most people like him. And I don't think the SNES game was bad. A lot of Gfaqs has probably played it too. Though the only other major game appearance he has is Kingdom Hearts.

High Fodder seems good for Shrek. It's been almost 10 years since the last main Shrek movie, but he is still fairly popular, and has an endless amount of memes associated with him. However he doesn't have much in terms of good game appearances, which limits his appeal on Gfaqs.

I agree that Ignis is Low Fodder. He might be liked more than Noctis, but he's not the main character and doesn't stand out much design-wise. And Gfaqs seems to have soured on FF15 too.

I agree with Fodder Line for Revan as well, but I think he did decline from 2010. He looked like a low midcarder there.

Agree with Fodder Line for Erdrick. I don't know how well the DQXI hero (default costume in Smash) would do, or how popular his game is on Gfaqs. DQXI did well on the PS4 goty poll for 2018, but wasn't on the overall goty poll.

Marth I say is a Low Midcarder. He does get respect for being the primary character who brought Fire Emblem to the west, and as the first lord in the series. I think most fans of the series will vote for him, along with smash players who aren't sick of sword users.

Sophitia I say is High Fodder. She's in a similar position as Mai Shiranui of being a platform for TJF in a series Gfaqs doesn't care much about. While not as iconic as Mai, she has been present in Soulcalibur from the beginning, and there's definitely some nostalgia for SC1 and 2 that could get her votes.

Agree with rankings here.

Banjo & Kazooie is interesting. Banjo appeared several times by himself and looked no better than high fodder. Together B & K move up to the Fodder Line boosted by a smash appearance. They could even potentially move to low midcarder if the nostalgia for the N64 games is strong enough.

Balthier barely hangs onto the fodder line imo, with Zodiac Age just a few years old.

For Big the Cat, mid fodder is the best he can hope for. He's a joke of a character who is only liked ironically, and meme rallies are largely extinct in contests. He's at least well-known, which keeps him out of low fodder range.

@MetalmindStats On the basis that all of these characters appeared in CBX solo, I am going to reject these nominations. Those are a bit of a loophole in my rules for this and I will update the topic OP to close that. If not for that I would probably put in Mario & Luigi.

Inkling would be fodder line, I think it would suffer from not being "your" Inkling and not a "real" character per say. Just being in Smash isn't enough anymore it seems.

Leonardo would be a low midcarder. I think a big weakness of the Turtles is that everyone seems fiercely loyal to their favorite one so you cut down each ones' power by a good chunk based on people just thinking "Raph is BETTER!!!!" Also I just don't think TMNT is the hottest property right now

Dracula would be a midcarder. Netflix boost, name recognition, cool art, nostalgia, etc. I could be wrong about this one and I'm biased because I love Dracula but I feel like he could do damage in the right bracket placement.

Alucard did really well so I don't think it would be odd for his old man to be strong too. I agree with these rankings and reasoning but I think Inkling is High Fodder. I think the fact that she isn't -really- a character will hurt her in a lot of matches, despite being a Nintendo rep in smash.

Yuffie is a Midcarder. Not everyone is a fan of her but she's still a very memorable FFVII character. I can't see her being far from Barret's strength.

Fulgore is High Fodder. He's a cool classic character, but I think Gfaqs doesn't care very much about Killer Instinct.

Naruto is tough to judge - he has a lot of games but I've never seen any of them really talked about on B8. He's very well-known but the Baruto series has shifted focus almost entirely to his son, and there isn't really a defining game appearance for him. Low Midcarder for Naruto.

I actually didn't know that - haven't played DMCV. Even so I don't know if that gets him out of High Fodder range. Very recent games tend to struggle on Gfaqs (unless they're main series Nintendo).

I don't really know FFV, but Mid Fodder seems correct for ExDeath. He's eclipsed by Gilgamesh from his own game, which is a more obscure FF to begin with. He at least has Dissidia.

Fodder Line for Dr. Wily. He has the recognition to beat high fodder, but he's not a character people care strongly about.

High Fodder for Vergil. I put him in a similar boat as Strider - a cool character people like, but has little relevance today.

Goomba is Fodder Line to me. He's an iconic enemy that everyone knows but few care about. He won't be able to beat anyone with legit strength.

Diablo is High Fodder - he obviously has seen better days but I would take him over anyone currently on the Mid Fodder line.

CATS is Low Fodder. But an Elite in our hearts. . .
