I think this will be the last Christmas with my family. I left after they started attacking my dog when she got into a fight with their dog, who snarls at my dog unprovoked EVERY single time. My dad is and always has been a piece of shit. Huge gambling addict. Wasted the college savings my grandparents gave my brothers and I on gambling. Im drowning in student loan debt, and hes now gotten both of my brothers into gambling. My dad has type 2 diabetes because he drinks like 6-7 sodas a day. Probably gonna lose his leg soon, or worse honestly. No one in my family is grateful for anything. Theyre rude. Messy. Disgusting. Vulgar. Just not good human beings. None of them are ok with expression even the slightest bit of emotion. Im heavily an outcast. After everyone was yelling at my dog trying to blame her for fighting with theirs...I said fuck it and just grabbed my stuff and my dog and went home. Theres still Christmas dinner but I just didnt care. I live 30 minutes away and was just done. I dont enjoy spending time with them. They dont enjoy spending time with me. Why even bother going over to their house anymore? I know that makes me sound like a super shitty person, and maybe I am...but still. I just dont think I can put myself through spending any more holidays with them. Theres zero connection between us, and never has been any. bah. Humbug.
