They go into detail how God of War Ascension didnt review/sell well and they had to layoff half of their workforce and stop work on a brand new IP they were working on for 3 years. Luckily God of War worked out for them as they put almost 5 years into it and Sony felt like it was a gamble. Cory Balrog said something like after 5 years of work you have 1 thing to show, and that 1 thing can basically keep the lights on or everyone is out of a job.
