You know, the rich guys with massive egos do anyway. The poor ones are largely dopey bootlickers who love to serve power as long as they aren't at the bottom of the heirarchy and can be part of the winning side. |

For Stannis to burn Shireen it would require both a) the pink letter to be fake b) Jon snow to be revived by a different method than Shireen burning c) Stannis and his forces take winterfell, defeating the Bolton's rather than losing miserably like in the show So it's certainly possible he does at some point, but either way his storyline is nothing like the show. If he just gets crushed and killed by the Bolton's like in the show, he is probably already dead (without burning Shireen). If he does burn her, he likely lasts a bit longer than in the show and events play out quite different. |

To me the movie looks absolutely dreadful, and I audibly groaned when the trailer was like "oh my God" "zilla", like....this movie looks joyless, only a camp fest could get away with that quality of writing. |

As the hound noted, the mountain had no humanity in him to begin with. The only emotional satisfaction would ever be in knowing you stopped him from harming anyone else again. And of course the fight between a giant zombie man and another giant but not quite as giant brute would suck. The oberyn fight was great because of the contrast between them, an emotional and clever man with a quick and fluid fighting style going against pure brute force. Cleganebowl was always going to be that the hound is shittier at the same kind of fighting, so obviously he will just get his ass kicked until he pulls something out of it. |
