Cheat codes

- its 40 bucks
- While they improved the artstyle and graphics, I still and kinda meh. Also the MC looks hideous and busy.
- Hollow Knight is the only indie game worth 40 bucks, since you get at least 35+ hours on a 1st playthrough... and its consantly 7.50 -15 bucks, a amazing deal

I'll admit that Hollow Knight looked unappealing,dark and drab at first, but once you actually have it in your hands and play it, it's beautiful, cute and charming, while also being a little unsettling and dim.

Sound design and controls is on point, too

Not that I care about comp Pokemon, but I find it weird that stealth rocks can deal up to 50% damage, hits everything and takes one turn to set up

But Spikes initially does like 12%, can be avoided by levitate/flying, and requires 3 turns of setup for 30%+ damage

Also Water types not being weak to poison is dumb

I picked it up. Will probably not touch it for a while though.

I dont think there are any missables, but there is a side quest or 2 that require one option or the other, and you need a second playthough to get it 2nd one.

The 2 biggest and most important tips:

1. Play at your own pace, it is a metroidvania
2. Very Minor, super early game spoilers -
There is a charm (equip-able item) that automatically collects money for you after you kill enemies. Its probably one of the most important charms to have at the start so you can focus on fighting and exploring instead of collecting every individual currency that drops. You gotta speak to a guy in a house beneth the first mini-boss, then buy it from him in the 1st town. It will save you a lot of time to get is asap.
