I'd assume the reason things are upheld is because they're violations. What more reasoning is needed?

Because most ofmthe time it's not clear why it is a violation. A good chunk of the moderations, especially on the Politics and Current Events boards, are just because you went against some mod's political beliefs. There is a lot of bias on those boards when it comes to modding. Then they just give the general heading of Flaming/Trolling/Offensive/ etc even though what you said doesn't fit into any of the sub categories for one of those reasons.

Hence why they need to give a reason as to why it was a violation. Imagine if the police came and arrested you and you said what did I do and they just ignored you and wouldn't tell you. Then when you went to trial the just said you were wrong/guilty and punished you but refused to tell you how or why you did something wrong and that was that. Now you know why people want an explanation more then just "violation because we said so."

I mean given the mod staff vote on it, it'd be hard to do so as there'd be heaps of reasonings as to why it was upheld, or mods who vote to overturn it.

how does it work, does the screen say like, final tally: 10 votes to uphold 3 to overturn? and that's it?

Shut the bastards down. If they think it's ok to convince people college is necessary (plenty of jobs don't need a degree), then force people to go to schools they can't afford, then the college deserves to eat the loss. I mean the student is partly to blame for making the mistake, but the future is gonna be even more shit if everyone is saddled with debt.

I brush 2x a day and have managed to avoid any cavities or other oral issues. Flossing seems unnecessary unless you have something stuck between your teeth and can't get it out with your finger or tongue.

I'e never actually seen someone trolled in a suicide topic in all like 20 years that I have been here. maybe it's happened but I don't believe it is as common as the mods say. I get disturbed when I look at a topic and it's full of people offering help and support and kindness. and then the mod shuts it down
