I dont understand the argument of fees!...guns are a right but that doesnt mean everything about them should be or has to be cheap or free.
theres a difference between someone offering their goods and services at a price and the government implementing more stop gaps to keep more individuals from using their constitutional rights. its what the entire concept of the 2nd amendment was put in place to help stop.

There already exists situations where people cant own guns. This seems like it would aid in those situations as well as helping with potential future issues. All Im saying is the fee isnt infringing on your rights. You still have every right to own a gun. This is just another step in the process but you have every right to go through that process. You cant argue that someone having to pay for it means they are having their rights taken away.


Is there some dollar amount where you would consider the fee unconstitutional? If so, what is that dollar amount (approximately) and why did you decide on that amount?

No. Because the fee isnt unconstitutional. Just like the price of the gun. Its part of the process.

Difference being, acquirement of the gun is done in private where as this is government charging a fee for a constitutional right.

A bill passed on Wednesday by the Illinois House would require gun owners to be fingerprinted and pay more for identification cards.

The state Senate still must approve the bill before it could be signed into law.

Democratic Rep. Kathleen Willis of Addison, citing deficiencies in the state's current Firearm Owner's Identification system, said the bill comes in response to a shooting at a factory in Aurora where six people, including the gunman, were killed, according to The Associated Press.

Gary Martin, 45, killed five coworkers before dying in a firefight with police in February. A convicted felon, Martin never should have obtained the FOID card he used to purchase a .40-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun used in the attack, police said.FOID cards currently cost $10 and last for 10 years.

The new bill would require cards cost $20 and instead last five years, and that card owners be fingerprinted.

IF this passes their senate there's no way this doesn't get struck down by the SCOTUS, right?

There's really no reason to think that Krillin should have kept up the power creep into Super. He was a family man who became a cop who deals with normal criminals. He should have been at his strongest going into Cell because he had no reason to train for future conflicts after that.

They explain in Super that he trains with 18 a lot, which that at least makes sense.

It was stupid but in the Super anime he could hang with SSB Goku for a brief moment and had a fair showing in the ToP, so pretty fucking strong.

In manga Super he's still fairly weak and probably not much stronger than Z Krillin

I don't know how many disputes are done in a day, hundreds at least I would guess, and we're expected to believe there's going to be all kinds of voting for each and every one? And that is supposed to be somehow more efficient? Not to mention this effectively punishes users for disputing, even legit disputes, because we all know the vast majority of disputes are getting upheld whether just or not, and now it's on record for a ridiculous amount of time.

No, no I don't like it and this is another nail in the coffin imo. This shit will probably drive away even more users.

They don't lie when they say mo money mo problems. People will come out of the woodwork begging for money so you might have to change numbers or even move often, relationships will probably be ruined over it too. Then you have to get a lawyer and probably a financial guy because scavengers will try to scam or sue you left and right.

Transformers is about robots, but it's really about war and the individuals who fight that war. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is about turtles, but it's really about brotherhood. All of these stories feature nonhuman protagonists, but still have anthropomorphism at its core. They're still functionally human even if the stories are crafted in such a manner to remind us that they're not. The most anthropomorphism that Godzilla has had is in striking victory poses, cursing, or telling Anguirus to check out the mainland.

I'm fine with Godzilla getting into 20 minute wrestling matches, but that's not going to reach the same audience as a film which has human characters reacting to Godzilla as though he were a natural disaster or some strange anomaly of life.

But there's another audience like me that doesn't care about humans reacting and wants to see nothing but monsters beating the shit out of each other. I wouldn't pay for another 2014, I'm definitely going to see this. But you're right that the critic audience doesn't like that kind of thing.
