Ahhh, what a wonderful season, watching your favorite horror movies, seeing the color of the leaves change, PERFORMING BLACK MAGIC RITUALS ON UNSUSPECTING SOULS. Oh.... I'm sorry.... i didn't mean to get tense with you hehe. Don't be frightened. I'm sweet, I promise you hehe. Take a seat, I will show you some of my magic. Oh, I'm just sure you'll love it! My parents gave my show a standing ovation, ya know. BUT THEY DON'T DO MUCH OF ANYTHING ANYMORE. Oh, shucks, there I go again. Oh, I can be such a bother, can't I! Come in close, don't be afraid. Bloody Mary will make sure you are very comfortable amongst my pets. Touch the cold steel of my dagger, the hard-leather of my special book, AND DON'T YOU EVER ATTEMPT TO LEAVE ME!!!!!!!

Bloody Mary, real name Mary Holden, is a 19-year old American woman, adept in technological dark arts that combines magical theatrics with twisted variations of biotic and caduceus technology stolen from Mercy's research. She keeps her tech in a leather-bound spellbook, giving the illusion of real black magic as she summons creatures around her and drains health from enemies. When she was young, Mary had a huge passion for horror movies and would watch Junkenstein's Revenge on repeat around Halloween time. The portrayal of the Witch in particular inspired her pursuit of the dark arts. However, she also has a split-personality and was a troubled teen, often hurting her classmates in an escalating manner, until she eventually stabbed both a rival classmate and boy who Mary had a crush on but resented for not going out with her. Mary's parents tried institutionalizing her, but she stabbed her parents too and fled. Tired, conflicted, hungry, and desperate, Mary had a chance encounter with the infamous thief Sombra. Mary told Sombra about her past, and in exchange for helping Mary get the tools needed to become the dark sorcerer she dreamed of, Mary became a proxy agent for Sombra and used her threatening split-personality and new tech to become a forced to be reckoned with. Despite this, there's still a part of Mary that resents what's she's become, as she struggles between the sweet and sour sides of her personality.

Really? It's box office numbers are obviously historic, but nobody cares about the movie itself anymore. The only times I ever see anyone bring up Avatar in movie discussions are to point out how it completely faded from pop culture so quickly despite its success or to debate whether Avatar is remembered for anything other than being completely forgotten.

You're talking from a (presumably) American film-discussion circle perspective, though. There's more nuance involved in determining the answer to this question; for its sheer scale and impact on subsequent movies, not to mention the movie industry in general, Avatar is absolutely up there, even if it's not so fondly remembered as a movie anymore.

Have an anecdote to put its impact into perspective: I watched it exactly once ever, in a theater when I was 12, and I have no interest in rewatching it. Nonetheless, I still remember the dazzling visual and aural experience, and I likely will forever.

Not too long after, Artemis met up with Patch, a rat who had also escaped the lab but had returned to Artemis to tell them where Isis and Nina were located. While Artemis did indeed have human friends, there was no way that any of those relationships would be as strong as the ones with his animal friends.

Artemis began to quickly realize that while he could be friendly with humans, his trust in them was ever fleeting. There is something in his mind that will not allow him to trust them completely. Artemis doesn't understand that he has a pretty serious case of PTSD due to most of his life being confined in a cage and tortured by humans.

While out and about, Artemis will often put on a facade to appear always happy and helpful. He doesn't want to risk upsetting his human friends for fear that they will abandon him or worse. He will try and avoid human conflict and drama at all costs because of this.

"Man, don't make me talk about myself, it's not a fun story to tell. Was born as a big, ugly fucker, and got abandoned for it. Fosters, teachers, kids... nobody was really a fan of me, but I still worked my ass off to try and make it through school, only to be taken in by an insane scientist. I thought I had found a home with him, only for him to use me as a test subject, warping my mind along with my face, and then discard me. I'm particularly strong and durable, so after dropping out I found steady factory work to get me by, living alone as the giant monster of the slums... Still, can't help but want to do something better. Find a way to prove I'm more than what my looks suggest."

-7'4", ~500 lbs.
-Combat oriented in the RPG he comes from, with partial invulnerability and a signature studded wooden club.
-Constantly wears a mask over his face. Underneath, it is horrifyingly deformed and covered in various burns and scars. Similar marks litter his body.
-While good at heart, he's a loner who is distrusting of others and easily angered.

Along with being able to grow big, I've also got the ability to speak so that's probably why this uh... little message thing I'm making for you all isn't just in barks, haha. Luckily, I'm still able to communicate with my animal friends. Patch and Isis are my closest friends and I would do anything to protect them. When I'm not running around Gotham with my friends and trying to put it back together, some of the things I enjoy are dancing and performing! I would really love one day to own a little theater where I can perform for people and make them applaud for me. If you bring me eggs to eat, I will love you forever.

The Basics
- Artemis is a one and a half year old Pomeranian Mix
- His normal size is about a foot and a half tall, roughly weighing about 15-20 pounds
- Due to his powers, he can grow up to 10 feet tall currently but one of his most common forms while walking around is his wolf sized form which is about 3 and a half feet tall, roughly 150 pounds.

Some backstory:

Artemis as a young pup was taken away to a laboratory owned by Kirk Langstrom, better known as Man-Bat. There he was tortured and tested on day after day, along with many other animals and creatures. Unlike many of the others that had been brought in, Artemis managed to survive these tests and eventually found that he had these new powers. One of being able to grow to a much bigger size, and the other, to be able to communicate using the English language. He eventually was able to escape Kirk's grasp but had to abandon the friends and family he had made while he was confined there. He made new friends after becoming part of a group that would one day set out to bring Gotham together... but they were mostly all humans... something he probably won't ever be able to be entirely comfortable with.

Later on, as Artemis and his friends start to piece Gotham back together, they were able to locate some of Artemis's closest friends in another laboratory. While both Isis and Nina were alive to be rescued, many of the others that he had known and grown up with had perished.

It's interesting to think about how large an impact design still has here, as for example, Chloe and Elena are probably both stronger than Sully even though the latter is comfortably the second most popular Uncharted character.

Does 'originally released' mean that games with alphas/betas released before 2010, but full releases in or after 2010 aren't allowed?

"Believe it or not, thats really me. I live in Pittsburgh, where I work as a barista at a local caf. What Im truly passionate about, though, is my role as the guitarist and sometime singer of the band a few friends and I formed a few years back. Thats me. Gosh I dont know what to say. Um. Im a Physicians Assistant. I wanted to be a doctor, but couldnt afford medical school. I never had many friends in school because I couldnt stand how nobody wanted to get to know me as anything more than the hot girl on the chess team. Im glad thats changing, but Im too used to a small circle of friends. Relationships are more meaningful that way. All that notwithstanding, its my blood to help people. People tell me I overwork myself as if its a problem. All I need time for is video games with my foster brother, chess, yoga, and making people smile. And Im good.

Yup. I was saying this during that topic when people thought Blizzard was making a mistake.

To be clear, basically no one there was saying it was a mistake from a business perspective; in fact, I seem to recall quite a few people pointing out that it wouldn't have much of an impact at the time. However, plenty of people were rightfully decrying it on moral grounds, but you only care and cared about its financial impact.

To be fair Lugia got owned the following round by Cloud and Frog, in a contest that otherwise was not great for FFVII or CT.

2013 was about as "not great" for CT as 2018 was. To put it another way, calling 2013 a bad contest for the CT crew smacks of looking at their results exclusively, without considering other factors such as percentages.

Magus notched a decent 59% on Otacon in round 1, despite potentially being held back by overlap with Jade Curtiss, in a year where all the MGS characters were at their peak. Then, round 2 was the infamous situation where Crono lost to Pikachu with Magus as the third wheel, but in truth, their match likely would have been a 50-50 if you remove Magus, just like it would be today.

As for the subject at hand, Frog scored 36% on Cloud in his 2013 loss, compared to 38% on Luigi last year - and while we know 2013 was an off contest for Cloud, was he really no stronger than Luigi is today? Lugia lost in that same match with 31.5% directly on Cloud, so if 2013 Cloud was ahead of Luigi today, it follows that 2013 Lugia was ahead of Lugia today, and by proxy, above the Fodder Line.

Red Mage: High Fodder

Claus: Low Fodder - Mother 3 is very well-regarded, despite its low playrate, and the Lucas resemblance could provide a slight boost. Most importantly, it doesn't take much to escape LAW Fodder; we've agreed that a fourth-rate Kingdom Hearts character can do it, among others. As such, I think it's an easy bar for a well-liked character from a highly respected, decently strong game.

Dick Tracy: LAW Fodder - Literally the only reason I nominated him. Who exactly is going to be voting for Dick Tracy on GameFAQs, again? No, half_silver's comments don't answer that question for me.

Sly Cooper: Mid Fodder - I think Axem's renomination overstated the case a bit - most notably, why would Lugia have stayed even from 2013 to now while most other Pokmon have noticeably declined? However, I do think High Fodder was a bit of an overestimation in retrospect.

Agreed.

Night in the Woods would still hold a special place in my heart even if its execution as a game was pretty generic, but it's the little details Scott and co. took the time to consider that really seal it as my favorite game. Sound effects are perhaps the most important among those, from the *hup* of Mae's triple jump to the whistle of the winds atop high buildings and near the one cliff in Possum Springs, as the music cuts out.

This also goes for the entire Dragon Quest series; in its case, I would argue a big portion of its cohesiveness as a series comes from iconic and satisfying sound effects, even for things like Zoom where there's no Pavlovian association to reinforce it.
