2019 was a pretty bland year. It was mostly me working at my job and finishing up grad school (I finish in June 2020).

I got to visit Palm Desert, CA in February but I've been there lots of other times and even spent my year off from college there. I also visited my dad in Georgetown, KY (it's near Lexington). I've been there before but this was the most time I've ever spent there at once.

Besides that nothing that exciting happened.

Ah yes, I know Muncie. Yeah I went to college for my undergrad in Olympia, WA. Took a year off in 2014 and lived in Palm Desert, CA. Spent every summer on the west coast except for one towards the end in Louisville, KY. Moved to Tacoma, WA after finishing my BA at The Evergreen State College but moved back to Indianapolis in late 2017 for cheaper rent basically.

Where in Indiana? I grew up in Fishers. Left for the west coast for about 5 years after high school but moved back to Indiana (Indianapolis) eventually. I'm actually considering moving to Michigan next year.

He gives my sister and his other nieces and newphews the same amount. He is just really conservative with his money and wants to draw a line so people don't constantly ask him for financial favors. He has done tons of awesome shit for us like taking us on vacation. He took my entire family including extended relatives I'm not even close with to Ireland in 2016 and paid for all of it.

I got $100 from my dad for my 26th birthday on the 7th and I just got another $100 from a wealthy uncle who lives in Hollywood and also owns a house in Palm Desert.

I'm not honestly sure what to spend the money on. I was thinking about getting some political books but I still have a few on me I haven't had a chance to read yet. I don't really need food and I'm moving soon so I don't want anything I can't fit into a car.

This. Having sides on your cooking surface is a good thing. Also makes it easier to take out of the oven.

Also what is wrong with you? French fries with duck? Put some baby carrots, parsnips, and those small red potatoes and roast them on the sheet pan with the duck. It will be a much better dinner for you both in terms of feeling full and you will feel better about having a nice meal. Plus with the extra food you might have leftovers which can be had later on or as a meal the next day.

I'm not eating fries with duck I was just saying the baking pan is the type you could use to make french fries with. I think I might go out and at least get some aluminum foil thing I can use to make the duck with.

It's Panera Bread. I just work there while finishing up my Masters. I've had the job since June 2018 because I needed a side hustle and I just never really bothered to quit or look for new jobs. It isn't THAT important but I can't really quit for a few more months without finding a new job, and no retail place will hire me now because I'm so close to getting my Masters. I finish my MS in June of next year but I was going to quit a few months before it once I have a tad bit more money saved up (already have a decent nest egg though).

I mean it's not like ALL of them have problems with him but he misgenders a trans person (FtM) a lot and one of my coworkers who is really cool to me gets upset with him. She was literally yelling at him at the end of my shift tonight and it got a bit crazy. He can be a bit of a dick.

Yes. I'd try to be clever and rip the smallest piece of the wrapping paper just to see what I got. I'd get myself hyped up.

But then the next day I'd discover those presents would be missing and I'd be crushed. Turns out I wasn't as clever as I thought, parents discovered the tears in the wrapping paper and hid them. Christmas day I'd open the remaining gifts but be disappointed.

Then before bed they'd tell me to close my eyes, then open them. And those gifts would be in front of me and they said I could open them, but next time I snooped they would take away the gifts for real.

5 year old me vowed to never snoop again.
