Stanley Parable just makes you move really fast by default to remedy this problem. Edith Finch came out after those games, why couldn't it get it right? None of the characters were interesting, and nothing of note happened in it. They could've straight up skipped it and went to season 4 with some fill in the gap shit and we wouldn't have lost anything. Also, I actually liked season 4. The graphics look amazing, the new gameplay mechanics are pretty nice, the characters actually had some depth to them, and the conflicts actually made some sense.
