In 1998, Turley was concerned about the impact of not impeaching the president, saying, "If you decide that certain acts do not rise to impeachable offenses, you will expand the space for executive conduct."
It's reasonable to think that Turley simply changed his mind over time.
But in a 2014 op-ed in the Washington Post, Turley wrote that "While there's a high bar for what constitutes grounds for impeachment, an offense does not have to be indictable. Serious misconduct or a violation of public trust is enough."

Compared to other Tales games? It's the only Tales game I've played, but compared to other RPGs, I found it the opposite. The plot was mediocre at best and the lead characters (Lloyd, Collette, Raine, and Genis) were insufferable, and the only things making the game enjoyable were the active combat system and the fun/interesting supporting characters.

I'm afraid of the day yahoo mail goes down, because well...yahoo hasn't been doing so hot for like a decade now.

So damn many of my various online accounts are based on a yahoo email... It was my first email address, and then later on I kept using it b/c I figured any site I signed up to would bombard me w/ spam, and my yahoo email became my "spam collector" email address.

That'd be dozens of different website accounts to migrate to a new email address...and a lot of them are accounts I barely use and forget exist...until I need them.

The second is better, but the first is still really good, and has my favorite area of either game.
If you ever plan to play both, definitely play the original (Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean) first, so the prequel is more meaningful.

The 2nd game is just much more polished overall, whether in terms of combat, voice acting, inventory/deck management, etc... As far as plot, the first game has one of the greatest moments in any video game, ever. But the 2nd game's plot is more consistently strong throughout.
I can understand why someone would prefer the first game, though.

I gave up trying to get the damn neck out after like half an hour (including soaking it in cool water for 15 minutes), just gonna let it cook for an hour then try again, maybe....

At least the giblet bag was right at the edge of the neck hole, so it came out without much effort.

I usually put in the lower part of the fridge on Mon week of TG then I set it out on my countertop on Weds until I'm ready to cook it TG day.

Leaving it out overnight seems like a really bad idea.

Technically, you could just suspend play on the switch, which could help since you can pick it right back up...

I don't trust that.
I hate auto saves and "rest mode" and all that stuff. I prefer to manual save. Which at least Astral Chain lets you do....in the police station which you can never return to once you head out for a mission until you finish it. :(

Was briefly tempted by that when I saw it in the Black Friday listings. Is there a value to the new game+? Or does it not add much?

I also saw that it mentioned having other characters. Are those just for side missions or can you use them for the full main campaign?

Not anymore value than most NG+ modes. You keep nearly everything except for the abilities that acted as plot gates to keep you from going off the rails, those like half dozen abilities are lost. But you do keep the one that lets you zoom around super fast (which on its own makes revisting the areas way more fun, and makes speed run attempts a lot more interesting, if you like that sort of thing) and again like...98% of the rest, so it can be pretty fun to replay with all of that stuff, and it makes getting the boss medals (awarded if you beat a boss w/o being hit at all) much easier the 2nd time through.

I stopped playing Bloodstained like 2 months ago, and as of then the additional characters had yet to be added. It's supposedly coming, if it ever does that will probably be when I replay the game. AFAIK the bonus characters are meant to be for a full playthrough. And at least one of them that was promised would play quite differently than Miriam.

It's a great game in any case, and apparently on sale for like $20 or so, so it's easily worth that. I was a kickstarter backer, so I paid $60...

More importantly, this impeachment inquiry is not changing anybody's mind about Donald trump.
Changing peoples minds about Trump is the only thing that can be gained from this and it is not happening.

No, more than anything what "can be gained from it" is not just rolling over and setting precedent that a president can get away with anything and Congress will do nothing at all about it.
If Republicans want to proclaim that they don't give a shit about the rule of law, that's on them.

On the flip side, it's suuuuuuch a grind-fest, and the characters and story dont carry it well enough. I consider this a hardcore niche title, more-so than the other 2 Xenoblade games. I feel like most normal gamers won't really enjoy it, or flat-out get bored of it.

I don't even think the first two Xenoblade games are niche at all. Well, maybe X is just b/c of how weird and nonsense the plot becomes.

XC2 definitely is though, for the reasons you stated and some of the atrocious and downright annoying main characters (looking at you, Rex and Tora).

It's a shame, it's still a good game, but it feels like it could've easily been an incredible game if they just did things a little differently.

wow never had a teacher that didn't give partial credit for a test that was not multiple choice.

He did grade on a curve. So getting two fully right was basically a C, and 3 right was a B I think.
But it was so fucking frustrating to spend 15-20 min on a problem out of your hour, mess something up, and get no credit for it just the same as if you never even attempted it.
Such a brutal and stupid grading method...
So yeah, we learned quick that it was better to just find the easiest problems and focus on those. Of course, he also liked to trick us w/ "red herrings" that looked simpler on first glance than they actually were.

Our electrical engineering program had a "weed out" class in sophomore year, Linear Circuit Threory.
An older student warned me about it in advance, saying that the professor would get the mid-term in before the drop out deadline to give everyone their current standings and what they'd need to pass the class on the remaining tests. He said half the class would opt to drop out right then, and half of those who stayed would go on to fail.
He predicted it correctly (I opted to drop out along w/ 1/2 the class, and 1/2 that stayed failed).
The professor would give exams that'd take an hour but only had 4 problems, working out values for resistors, current, etc... for complex circuits. If you got the wrong answer, he did not give partial credit, b/c "if you had double checked your work, you would've noticed your error," and usually it boiled down to not doing all the problems and trying to focus on just 2-3 of them and make sure you get them completed, b/c incomplete was the same as never even bothering, and you needed to manage your time. He'd sit behind us while we struggled and panicked, with a sadistic smile.

Most people went to the community college during summer break to take a much easier version of the class and transfer the credits over. Or in a lot of cases...decided to drop the engineering major completely and do something easier.
I re-enrolled the next semester and scraped by w/ a C. I wonder how many actually passed that damn class on the first try....

The attorney, Joseph A. Bondy, represents Lev Parnas, the recently indicted Soviet-born American who worked with Giuliani to push claims of Democratic corruption in Ukraine. Bondy said that Parnas was told directly by the former Ukrainian official that he met last year in Vienna with Rep. Devin Nunes.
"Mr. Parnas learned from former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Victor Shokin that Nunes had met with Shokin in Vienna last December," said Bondy.
Shokin was ousted from his position in 2016 after pressure from Western leaders, including then-vice president Biden, over concerns that Shokin was not pursuing corruption cases.

Senate races are state-wide, gerrymandering from 2010 won't save Republicans from the wrath of the general populace. The impeachment's only a few weeks in and already 51% don't just disapprove of Trump (I think that was around 70%?), but think he should be removed from office.

I love that the GOPs strongest defense is that none of the witnesses who testified at the inquiry said Trump explicitly told them he was withholding aid in return for an investigation into Biden, but the White House refused to let those who may have direct knowledge of such a scheme testify. Because, you know, that's what innocent people do.
