Demon Truck was my first discovery support & now it's my last remaining support, how touching.

Class Exsphere Nosurge was technically a song that was relatively low ish on some of my rankings but it's a weird song that I have very mixed feelings about and I really respect weird songs so it is also high in some other regards for me so I'll be happy with it going forward but also wow it's off to a very strong start here gosh

AA-S -- Not too much of a fan of the very rural instrumentation. This song doesn't do too much past it's peaceful pleasantry adventure, though it manages to invoke feelings of both heavy summer and warm winter. Angry sun. Really though not much of a fan here.

AA-S -- This song gets off to a much more interesting start with those weird synth sounds, which quickly get covered by more standard electric guitars. The flute/recorder/wind instrument that starts up with the main start of the song seems really weak to me, not an instrument I particularly want to listen to all that much, but even with that this song is a lot more appealing than the other. Seems a lot more "blue/purple" in it's feelings, like a cloudy summer day or cool winter. Not-so-angry sun. This winds off coming out quite more preferable for me

AA-SD -- What a silly vocal. Sounds like someone just playing with autotune slider and having a bit of fun. I can't complain about vocal being in the singular at that moment. An alright song, mixing the darker electric guitar with a lighter oriental instrument. The empty pause is kind of funny but I feel like what comes after doesn't properly "justify" the pause so it's just a silly pause. Like I said it's alright but not much butter, but I didn't really like the other song in this match so good job.

Hi there, hey guys, it's me! Welcome to The Second Of June, also this is my nominations topic for me ranking some video game songs. This part of the program I get to take it easy it's all on you guys, you get to post some songs stuff for me to judge later on! I'll try to give 'em each some whimsical write-ups too.

Some rules:
- rules
- You can only nominate up to 4 (four) songs per person!!
- Songs must come from and for a video game. It's fine if they're unused in game, from an unreleased game, or exclusive to the game's trailers or soundtracks such as "long" or full versions. But don't give me remixes I'm not looking for those
- links should come with your song nominations of course, I gotta listen
- Please include composer information if you can. This isn't a required rule, you don't Have to, but hey it's the polite thing to do ya know?

There we go, that should settle such matters. Now, if you're here thinking to yourself "Gee self, what ever shall I nominate?" well, songs I want to listen to will do better on my rankings! And if you're wondering what exactly what I like, wow I often wonder the same thing myself. But here's some general examples of likes / dislikes that I think are sort of accurate probably:
LIKES: Digital synths, minor keys that aren't outright sad, potentially harsh sounds, some dissonance, chords, weirdness, fun rhythms, complex stuff, variety, extremes, silly absurdity, glitch noise
DISLIKES: Vocals, orchestral/symphonic instrumentation, too much focus on piano or high strings, slow "sad" feelings

Those are in spoilers because hey, feel free to completely ignore them, just go with your gut or just whatever you like! There's probably some things I forgot to list in there and there's always a few exceptions to things anyway.
But watch out. I may just give a low score if I myself don't like the music! I'm the judge here! Gimme some recommendations you think I'll like, please!

Also a note: I'm gonna be downloading all the songs and then I'll listen to them "anonymously" where I won't know who nominated what or even what games and stuff they'll be from. But I can look that information up after I've made my rankings! That way it'll be all on the music and as little other factors as possible. How will I do this? By listening to the songs in a video editor because why not.

The harsh contrast in how I feel regarding these two matches is probably funny. If only I could simply vote for both songs in the second match and or have them both advance instead
Also uh for the other match there is a chance I'm being a tad bit harsh on my rankings. Like when I put the numbers together I kinda thought NWO was something else apparently and it's not "as bad" for me so it's probably more like #32 and my actual least favorite advanced yesterday oh no. Maybe Raging Waves is also ranked a place or two low as well. Oh well, I don't exactly care for either of them and my vote isn't going to swap

Had to think a bit over the first match, it felt like a repeat of yesterday, where FoHaD may seem more like the kind of song for me in the instrumentation stuff, it kind of comes off as "plain" compared to the opponent who is more fun and energetic! Plus, I can't really get too into the main beat of the song, and I'm not too interested in the playing preschooler feel of certain parts either. But, that's me being a little overly harsh towards FoHaD and giving FPoison too much credit. It's mostly the intro to the song that's super fun, and if it kept that feel up for the rest of the song it would very likely get my vote here, but it doesn't. I'm less interested in most of the rest of the song, especially the sort of feel from focusing on the guitar (and I especially don't like the slow bit at the end). And FoHaD still has plenty of good & interesting aspects about it too. Again this match is close for me but I gotta give it to Deltarune.

Second match is not at all close for me.

First match feels really close for me and in fact Gallant Gunshot sort of "feels" like it should be my kind of song considering it's instrumentation, but there's just, something about it that I'm not really getting all that into, and especially compared to the fun Invitation Flower song, GG just feels kinda... plain.

Anyway AHGR Final Boss is probably my favorite song still in so I Hope It Goes Far !!

Both matches are pretty close for me today. In some ways RecipeSong might be more interesting & seem more like my kind of song but it's got lower lows (playing child moments w/ piano flute high strings) and INO1 has higher highs for me (those triumphant bursts).

Last night listening to the second match I was really Not in the mood for Ignith I guess, and was leaning pretty distinctly towards Distortion, slightly to my own surprise. I didn't feel certain enough and didn't want to listen to those songs that much more that night and now that it's a Brand New Day I'm more in the mood for Ignith again. Lucky for that song I'm so indecisive and terribly unimpulsive

Man, I hate that this first match is a match today. Both songs are in my top 10 of songs in round 3, or more specifically, somewhere in my range of #2-6 (and all 5 in that range are very close for me). Rather than seeing this as another form of "Either one that advances is good!!" sort of thing I can't help but see this as "One of these songs Will be eliminated and that sucks!" Been listening to both of these a bunch in preparation for this match and I guess over the time of this competition, Kill Command has grown on me more than Nanohemu has. But whichever song wins here better win this bracket !!!

Today's both of Matches are close for me !! All 4 songs are ones I'd consider "good" but all have shortcomings that prevent them from being among my "favorites" of those that remain this set.

Largely what both matches boil down to is "instrumentation vs. melody" -- I like the synths and sounds and such used in Studiopolis and Cladun, but the melody in both leaves much to be desired. Studiopolis seems weak for the most part for some reason and Cladun just seems a bit dull. Meanwhile the tunes in Rhuzerv & "Battle" are much more interesting and fun, but I care less for the pianos & natural instruments or vocals in them. The synths are less appealing to me in Rhuzerv too. Ultimately I guess both sides won out depending on which match. Studiopolis has some cool melody in a couple small sections, while Rhuzerv is "interesting" that actual appeal doesn't stand enough on it's own at the moment. Meanwhile "Battle" is very fun and that actually does stand well to me, certainly above Cladun's march.
