This will be my first solid attempt at a novel. Prologue is short, but that's intentional.

Dryads are the most beautiful creatures in the Shadowbranch Forest. Human-like in their form, intelligent and capable of articulated speech, but they are for all intents and purposes a plant species. Ever elegant are the dryads, seldom seen by humans, and always female.

One foggy morning, a particular dryad was peering from a treetop through a far-off web of interwoven branches. Keen of eye as dryads are, neither the fog nor the branches prevented her from detecting the shape which moved on the ground. It was indeed a human, and a male. He was alone and visibly frightened no, terrified. Every step the man took was cautious, making no sudden movements except for his head as he glanced frantically all around him. A wasted effort. Humans are too noisy and cumbersome to sneak through the foliage, thought the dryad. She studied the poor creature, watched him stumble and clumsily regain his composure. He had eventually managed to reach a spot where there was no concealment between the dryad and himself. Incidentally, he was going the wrong way. There was little doubt he was trying to find his way out of the forest. Instead, he found an arrow in his chest. After all, Dryads are impeccable archers, and it was not mating season just yet.

Ive played a small chunk of TW3. They did an incredible job of bringing to life the world from the books. Story-wise however, the game misses the point. But I get that because its a game they had to fill it with ACTION, ACTION, ACTION!!! So not necessarily a flaw, but definitely a difference.

The books are my favorite series. I liked them more than G of T & L of the R.

i just feel like the things that were great about the books are going to be hard to make great on the screen. The narration, for example, is impeccable in the books, and one of the larger things that makes them so enjoyable to read. However, narration doesnt usually have a large place in a cinematic work of art.

Also I just know theyre going to do some stupid shit to try to make it appealing to a wider audience. I want to be optimistic , its just that my standards are very high after reading the books, and it will be very challenging for a show to meet those standards.

But I dont have a fear of talking to women. Women have a fear of me talking to them.

I LOLd upon reading the topic title. Im not even sure what he did. But Im sure whatever he did was something stupid and he deserves his predicament.

Halo 1s campaign has probably aged the worst. Im quite willing to admit that nostalgia IS in fact the reason its my favorite.

However, id say the story is at least slightly more complicated than what you described, and if youre going to be playing the other campaigns of the series, it wouldnt make sense to exempt the first one, since it does lay out the foundation for the rest of the series.

It should immediately be thrown away and replaced with a good book. All that TV is rotting your brain, TC.

being a popular YouTubed in that era had more to do with your personality, I think, than it had to do with using every marketing trick in the book to attract viewers. You pretty much have to be an expert marketer in order to get enough views to make a living on YouTube now.

But knowing what we know now about how to hardball YouTube, if you went back to the era where your only competition was like uh... The Amazing Atheist, do you think you could have made a channel that would draw in a large following? Or at least enough to pay the bills that you currently have?

Alternatively you may want to push on with the main quest until you reach one called A Blade in the Dark, which stops all random dragon attacks. You can still fight dragons at word walls, but will not spawn them at random encounter nodes.

Yeah, I always play the main quest up to A Blade In The Dark, and then I tell Delphine I dont want to help her. Now I have the complete Fus Roh Dah shout and I can do any non main quest without having to deal with random dragons bogging me down.
