I know my username has a feminine e at the end of it, but I am male.

And I didn't defend Tifa's remake bust in any topics. I said that she looked basic even looking past the deflated chest and I said that her Advent Children look would've been a better choice for the remake. She still has a bust in that one, it's smaller than it was in the polygon game, and it looks nice. The same can't really be said here.

She's not ugly or anything, but she's not the sex symbol she was. And I hate that people's only solution to "so looks are all that matters to you, huh?" is to downgrade a character's looks rather than upgrade their personality or their role in the story.

Those people really should've watched Beauty and the Beast when they were kids. Her name is literally beauty and she's remembered for being a bibliophile and a strong willed character. This game could've just improved Tifa's role in the story and put more of a focus on her punching out baddies. They didn't have to stuff her bra with saggy pancakes.

Saggy pancakes? Oh this is an elaborate troll. You are messing with me. You actually don't think they ruined her character. Thanks got it.

People didn't want to be disappointed. They wanted their character.

How's it any different from people complaining when a superhero costume gets a redesign? How's it any different from people getting mad if a character doesn't have a mustache or an eyepatch that they had in an earlier adaptation? How's it any different from when people say that a Pokemon doesn't look right in an adaptation or sequel? What about the people complaining about re-releases removing glitches or cheap tactics that people exploit (like endless combos in fighting games)?

It's all relative. We say that things which bring titillation are not valid. So, when a person complains about a character getting desexed, we say the problem is with them. Yet a person not wanting to play a Final Fantasy 7 port because Cloud slouches and wears untied shoes is within their rights to say that the remake ruined the character.

And they got their character.

It always did strike me as weird that the same SJW types who whine about "body shaming" are the same people who then go on crusades against busty characters.

That said though, Tifa's breast size seems fine to me (it does seem more in line with her official art), and it's not like they de-emphasized her rack either (it's still a tight shirt after all).

I was never going to get the game. I dislike pissant emo protagonists and the game was more or less dead to me when they went with the Advent Children look for Cloud. It's why I could never get into Final Fantasy X. I wanted to slap Tidus across the face, not play as him.

But I had vested interest in whether or not Tifa would resemble her former self because of the pervasive censorship that was going on. I wanted to believe that she would be grandfathered into maintaining a large bust. They didn't have to jiggle. They didn't have to be on display. They just had to be there.

And they completely nerfed them.
