I remember my first time as an adult. Working in the dishroom in college, when I started to get that pressure/cramping sensation. Of course, no bathrooms on that floor, so my option was the stairs or the elevator. Walking up stairs didn't feel like a viable option, so I reluctantly took the fright elevator (open/closing the heavy doors was no picnic in my condition either). Almost made it, but about 3 steps from the door, I was prairie dogging and was already past the point of no return by the time I hit the stall.

Lucky for me, that was the first time my friends asked if I wanted to get drunk and I took them up on the chance.

I can only report what I've heard second/third hand. Worked with a manager who always complained about her husbands conditions at an amazon warehouse. It sounded like there was no flexibility to his schedule at all or he was at risk of getting fired. So she was always rushed and hurried, and at times had to bring in her 8 month old kid because otherwise he might have been 5 minutes late.

Not that I know of. I tried to play as good guy, but then realized I wasn't really when it dawned on me I selected the brainwash option in every conversation that I could.

People love to state how overpowered the shield spell is, and it is. My preference was to improve the spell that can know down enemies. If you get in close when they are on the ground, you can use a coup de grace to kill them outright.

Played the first assasin's creed (one of my first ps3 purchases) for a few hours. Meant to go back but haven't touched it since or any of the other games.

I'm 44 right now, and for me it is no big deal. Sure, when I was younger I thought it would be awesome, but always held myself back early on for fear of rejection and small junk, and never even dated. When I got to college, my confidence improved somewhat, but then the other side of the equation surfaced. I started being afraid of what if they said yes, what with absolutely no experience with women.

Over time, virginity and not dating just felt like the natural state and I didn't feel any compelling reason to change. Sure, I'm curious as to what sex is like, but similar to something like skydiving, not curious enough to actually go out and do it.

I went through training to work for Chik-Fil-A and in the video there was this hilariously absurd example where this lady calls Chik-Fil-A and says she ordered a chicken sandwich and drove across town before sitting down to eat it and complained that it was cold. She said she would have to find something else to eat now.

The crazy thing is the example of the right thing to do in that situation was to give her a free combo lol.

You say absurd, but it happens. Worked at a Hardees in college and had somebody order an 8 piece chicken, then go out to the parking lot and talk on the pay phone for about an hour. Came back inside bitching their food was cold and wanted a refund plus new food. Lucky the manager told them to piss off.

Another favorite was the people in the dining room who come up asking for a refund. Pop was flat, fries were cold, burger was burned. Check their tray to see maybe 2 bites left in a burger, 3 random fries, and cup of ice. They never got away with it either.

Now, I'm not perfect. One time I remember, after the order went out the window, that two burger patties were still on the grill. I made the sandwich but forgot the meat. Told the manager and we waited for the guy to return. He was really chill about it, so we replaced his whole order, gave him a full refund, and threw in some ice cream on top. Something I've learned in my years in service. Calm and collected will normally yield better results and the employees will be more willing to bend the rules for your benefit.

I more or less lost interest in his books when it felt he started moving away from actual monsters as the menace of his story. Gerald's Game and Dolores Claiborne left me less than impressed. I assume I read Rose Madder because I found the paperback in my collection, but I couldn't tell you a single thing about it.

Finished the dark tower series but it really went of the rails with the last book or two. I enjoyed Insomnia (which it seemed a lot of people hated), but checking his books, that is the most recent one I have read multiple times. The Talisman was near the top of my favorite books of his, so was pretty hyped when a follow-up was announced. Then I read it, and recall thinking "WTF with all this dark tower crap in here".

So was a huge fan of his in middle school through college (late 80's-early 90's), then discovered other authors whose books appealed to me more than King's newer stuff did.

You can find four of them in "The Bachman Books" collection. Rage, Running Man, Road Work(I think) and my favorite The Long Walk. There was also Thinner.

Years later, he wrote either Regulators or Desperation. Two books with the same character names, but each published under a different author name.

Haven't hit that point yet with over the top gore and violence. Minor and more realistic violence get to me though. I remember one of the TCM movies. Guy gets his leg chopped off and flops on the ground. I laugh because it is funny and I have no frame of reference. Girl gets dragged down the hall and tears off her fingernails digging in the ground and I have to turn to away.

I feel the same way about excessive profanity as well. A blue joke here and there is amusing. But the movie Sausage Party had me rolling my eyes before it was halfway over. Wasn't funny or entertaining because they just kept at it non-stop.

I support dumbasses decisions to blow their money however they want, and developers decisions to put these in their games.

But these do affect you by making the game more of a grind. Say the game was designed with item X having a 10% drop rate to get. Would take you a while, but you will eventually get it. However, now the game has put that item in a loot box and dropped open world acquistion of it down to 0.2%. Your progress has been affected because of the loot box system.

I've avoided picking up War of the Chosen until I beat the base game because I heard it was similar to the way Enemy Within revamped almost the entire game.

If you want to count MMO's I say FFXI, namely Chains of Promanthia. Before it came out "ewww, no new jobs. Why play it" Afterwards "Holy Shit, this is epic". My two extra characters were made as mules and to play through it again.

It could work on an autoscrolling game, but otherwise you'd race through the level too quickly and it would get cut off, or take too long and end up with a bunch of dead air. And in action games, sound it sometimes a vital clue to let you know something is headed your way.

Go back to in-game museums like God of War or Ratchet in Clank. Cool little areas to visit with concept artwork and little notes about the development process.
