That story is good imo, but it's a long road. Along that road is mandatory group content for those who dislike that. That's a weird criticism imo. These are expansion packs for people who have already been playing. Of course you have to....play the game to get to the most current stuff. There's so much to do outside of the current stuff though. Endgame content isn't everything. You can play a bunch of mini games in the Golden Saucer like mahjong, Chocobo Racing, Triple Triad, a railgun shooter, a platforming mini game, etc. You can do beast quests which have their own storylines and unique rewards. Expansion pack classes like Red Mage and Samurai are available to you in early game areas if you have bought the expansion packs as well. I think it's odd to complain about having to actually play the game to get to new stuff. Why would you not play it?! --- "This is your last dance." |
