I'd recommend downloading Clone Hero. It's basically a free clone of Guitar Hero/Rock Band you can play on your PC. If you have the right controller or adapters you can even hook up the necessary instruments. You can even play all of the setlists from the GH/RB games right off since people simply took the charts from those games and Clone Hero is compatible with 'em.

I try to read them whenever they hook me in and I have the time to be invested in such a thing. I know several other users also tend to like CYOAs depending on how they're done.

There are still some shows that I would prefer subbed even if they did get a dub (mostly slice-of-life stuff like Lucky Star or music anime like Love Live) but in most cases, I would watch the dub if both are an option.

Huh, part 4 of JoJo has a dub now? Nice, I remember watching it (parts 1-4) a few years back but I think parts 3-4 were only subbed back then.

I should probably rewatch along the dub and then maybe dive into part 5.

Generally I prefer the dub these days. I have no objections to watching a sub (unless it's just completely inferior in terms of translation, or like Death Note in terms of voice acting), dub's just make it easier for me to multi-task.

Of course I'll also just favor the sub if the dubbing sucks ass.

I liked listening to his reaction. I can see why people would say it's fake based on the video quality, but that reaction was pretty genuine.

I don't see why the video quality would be the reason for someone to doubt its legitimacy, he's far from the only speedrunner to stream like this. Not like I like it.

I guess if there was a reason to doubt it, it might be the lack of a controller cam or something, I would think something like that would be required at this level of play.

But I don't particularly doubt it.

I did love his reaction. He was so chill going through World 8 too, I'd be legit panicking lol

Do the moderators even like the more stringent play nice rules?

I know some don't, and I'm pretty sure most don't. More work, more pettiness, more "but this guy didn't get modded" "well he might've gotten an NWD" topics.

I really think the solution to the issue would've been, not so much "more consistency" on flames (and especially not this sort of overcorrecting where it's moddable to use positive names or joke around with familiar people), as much as just dealing with the overall laxness. Karma means literally nothing to most users now, and the resident shitlords can evade Warns/Purgs with alts; actually break out the claws when punishing people, actually ban resident shitlords.

The billionth NWD or the 50th warn or whatever doesn't get the fact that their shit is unwelcome beaten into their head anymore than it did the first. All it shows is you're not willing to give them a meaningful punishment.
