Yeah, the opening scene was the best comedy setpiece in the series so far. I like where they're setting up Season 2 to go, so I'll be back in once it comes back.

That was a really cool finale. I'll be sad to see some of these characters go, but the setup for Season 2 seems promising.

I'm gonna have to bite my tongue until I get to 5. but, I will say that the 'small town feel' fits 3 better than 4, even though it's not portrayed as being small town, just because the game has a smaller scope and you can get to know the people a little easier.

Eh, I don't feel like P3 rotates its NPC dialogue often enough. I usually only check it once a month because going everywhere isn't a breeze like it is with Inaba. You've got like 5 screens to cover, and the NPCs are always in the same place, so there's something comfortable about that. Plus, the NPCs in P3 feel like standalone entities while Inaba and its characters feel like a community, especially as you get to know them through sidequests and shared content. Like, you get to know the twin girls and their relationship, and how it works even though they're always in separate locations. The Fox S. Link especially really makes you feel a connection to the town as you run around everywhere helping these people out.

I appreciate P5's scale, but it almost has too much to do. There was a bunch of stuff I only did once or twice to trigger a Trophy (like the batting cages) and then I never bothered with it again.

I mean, I'm just saying! I will defend P4 to the very end. I love the Investigation Team. One of my favorite JRPG parties ever.

If you're in it for the gameplay, there's no reason to play any Persona game ever again other than 5 until 6! The battle system gets better in every conceivable way with each iteration. I played 3 and 4 leading up to 5, and I did two full playthroughs of P5 back to back, and I was pretty much done with the game. I've beaten P4 at least 5 times at this point. I might go back to P5 once Royal drops if it's determined the new content is worth it.

Its good, yeah, but why play this one when you could play 5?

Because 4 is still the better game! P5 is one of the most stylish games I've ever played, but the cast and the story just aren't as good as 4's.

And honestly I love the small town feel of Inaba. It almost feels like home by the time I finish a playthrough of P4, unlike with P3 and P5.

I feel like I've always been B8's #1 DD fan. I think the individual case quality is so high. I love 5-2, 5-3, 5-5, and 5-6. Even 5-4 offers something unique to the series despite its flaws. 5-1 is the only real dud in the game, in my opinion.

And Blackquill quickly became one of my favorite characters in the series. He was definitely a return to form as a strong rival character after how nothing Klavier was. While Apollo gets pushed to the side for a lot of the game, I still think DD did a ton to improve his standing with the fanbase. Blackquill was the perfect rival character for him in particular. That's my second favorite attorney/prosecutor dynamic (after Phoenix/Edgeworth, naturally).

#8. Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

The Good: Unlike the first two prequels, Episode III is loaded with action. It's certainly enjoyable for that alone. I don't know that it's necessarily all good action (The Grievous stuff is all kinda "eh"), but I can't accuse it of being boring, if nothing else. I will say that this movie does a pretty good job of justifying Anakin's heel turn through the ineptitude and hypocrisy of the Jedi Council. I'm not sure that was the intent, but whatever...!

The Bad: While it avoids the pitfall of nothing happening for long stretches of time like the first two, it does still have a lot of their other shortcomings. The dialogue is still kinda cringe-worthy ("You're breaking my heart, Ani!" being the worst offender). I honestly think the Anakin/Obi-wan duel at the end is a little overrated. I think they play with the setting too much instead of just having them fight. While I said they did a good job of justifying the heel turn, Anakin is still hard to like or sympathize with, especially when he's shouting, "I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!" after the fight is over. The prequels don't really do a good job of developing the friendship between Anakin and Obi-wan (which I've heard the Clone Wars fixes, so maybe I should watch it), so the emotional impact of the betrayal falls a little flat for me. A lot of Episode III feels a bit forced to me in order to make it fit the original trilogy, but that's part of the inherent issues of doing prequels in general.

The Best: After being largely subdued up to this point, Palpatine goes full ham in this movie. This is the one time I actually really love the cheese of the prequels. UNLIMITED POWER! Honestly, the fight between Yoda and Palpatine might be my favorite one in the movie. I do respect Yoda for recognizing his own fault (and the Jedi council in general) in Anakin's failure, although I don't know why every Jedi's first instinct after a major failure is to go into hiding!

I'll use spoilers for the newer movies because those are obviously less well known than the originals and the prequels.

#9. Solo: A Star Wars Story

The Good: As a popcorn flick, it's entertaining enough, although I wouldn't call it memorable. There are lots of action setpieces throughout the movie, but I honestly can't remember a lot of them. I haven't rewatched it since I saw it in the theater though. It was good to see Chewie get a big role again, although I laughed when they teased the possibility of him dying in a literal origin story. I did kinda mark out at the Darth Maul cameo at the end, but then I realized that they would never do anything with it, so whatever.

The Bad: I'm sorry, but that dude is not Han Solo. He's some random guy cosplaying as Han Solo. I've never been able to get past it. He has zero of the charm of Harrison Ford. I'm not saying he has to look like him or whatever. He just doesn't channel any of his style. I think I'd have been able to enjoy the movie more if it had just been some random guy and not Han Solo. Maybe that's shallow of me, but that's how I feel about it. Also, there is absolutely nothing essential about this movie. It is an optional spinoff in every sense of the word, and you're missing out on nothing by not watching it. There are very few surprises (except for the Darth Maul cameo), but that's also the drawback of an origin story. It's hard to throw surprise twists in there, but they don't really do anything special when it comes to Han's origins, meeting Chewie and Lando, or whatever. It's pretty much exactly as you'd imagine it to be, which I guess is fine, but then it's like, why did we need a movie about it?

The Best: Now Donald Glover as Lando is the exact opposite of Han's actor (whose name I can never remember and I don't feel like looking it up). It's not that he looks anything like Billy Dee Williams (because he doesn't), but he captures the cadences of his voice, his mannerisms, everything. He really nails the role here, and he's the best part of the movie. The end of the movie is a pretty solid climax, with the infamous Kessel run, as well as Han pulling a fast one on everyone (except Emilia Clarke, of course), including Lando at the end to win the Millennium Falcon. Overall, I wouldn't say Solo is a bad movie. It just doesn't feel like it needs to exist, and it's not particularly memorable. I'll probably watch it again with my fiancee one of these days because she's never seen it, but I'm not in a particularly big hurry to do so.

Oh right, I meant to address something from xp's post about The Expanse a little earlier, but I guess I forgot! It's just a little thing though. I think the fact that Cara Gee finally got promoted to the opening credits means Drummer isn't going anywhere anytime soon. I don't think they'd have done that if they planned to jettison her after Season 4. They know they've got a good thing in Drummer, so I don't expect they'll waste that.

Oh yeah, I guess I could do my updated Expanse character rankings post-season 4!

#10. Episode II. Attack of the Clones

The Good: I think this is Mace Windu's best role in the prequels. I imagine most people would say Episode III because of the confrontation with Palpatine, but I'm kinda iffy on that one, which we might discuss later. I like his role in the big battle at the end. Windu just straight up decapitating Jango is probably the big "Whoa" moment of the movie to me, at least in terms of "I didn't see that coming," certainly not quite in that way. The one big "Whoa" moment for most people is the Yoda lightsaber duel, which is probably the height of absurd fun in the prequels, more than anything Episode III throws at us. It's silly and you can quibble with it if you want, but I prefer to just enjoy the thing at face value. Speaking of something absurd that I enjoy because it's simply so ridiculous, most of the prequels' humor falls flat for me, but I ironically enjoy the whole, "You don't want to sell me death sticks" exchange at the beginning.

The Bad: Much like Episode I, most of the movie is just boring. So much just sitting around and talking. Dooku is easily the most boring villain the series has produced. I love Christopher Lee, but he really does just get wasted in both this one and the next. Perhaps the worst thing in the entire prequel trilogy (maybe even the series as a whole) is the Anakin/Padme "romance." We very rarely use the word "unbelievable" in its most literal sense, but it's literally unbelievable that Padme falls in love with Anakin, especially in the aftermath of him slaughtering the Tuskan raiders. The dialogue between them is just so bad and so wooden, even my fiancee was cringing watching those scenes.

The Best: I used to think I was alone in this until recently when some other B8ers expressed the same sentiment, but I always loved the part where Obi-wan is investigating the clone army and talking to the Fetts. It's really the only moment in the prequels where it feels like there's legitimate intrigue and tension without it being in your face and over the top about it. The prequels almost never do subtlety, but they somehow manage it here. Honestly, I hadn't watched the prequels from start to finish since they first came out until I decided to watch the entire series with my fiancee, but for whatever the reason, that scene was always the part I looked back fondly on more than any other. For this scene alone, even though the rest of the movie is probably worse than Episode I, I can't rank it dead last.

Okay, I'm going to rank the Star Wars movies from 11 to 1 just to give me a list of sorts to do.

#11. Episode I: The Phantom Menace

The Good: Liam Neeson as Qui-gon is a pretty good fit, I think. I like how he's seen as a bit of an outcast by the Jedi council, which is perhaps your first insight that the council itself probably isn't really doing its job. He tries to do the right thing by Anakin, but they've got so many restrictions and regulations that he pretty much has to go rogue. The Jedi council basically gets mired down in bureaucracy. Ewan McGregor is a good Obi-Wan, but I think that's a pretty common consensus across all three movies. Despite the bad acting by Jake Lloyd, the pod race was kinda neat. I did enjoy it.

The Bad: I know it's cliche to hate on Jar Jar's role in Episode I, but it's cliche for a reason. He's bad. You can tell he was just inserted to be funny to little kids because his humor is least common denominator level stuff. Also, my word, the plot is boring as all get out for 90% of the movie. There's just so much sitting around and talking. When watching it with my fiancee, we literally had to stop to take a break in the middle because we were so bored. You've got the pod race, and then you've got the final sequence with the space battle and the lightsaber duel, and that's about it. Speaking of the space battle, Anakin blowing up the station by sheer dumb luck is probably encapsulates the missteps of this movie (and the prequels in general). The resolutions of the major moments are just so unsatisfying. The Gungans succeed by sheer dumb luck as well. And while Jake Lloyd's acting is pretty bad, he's just a little kid, so I can forgive it and it's not even the worst performance of the movie. Shmi's acting is the epitome of wooden.

The Best: The Duel of the Fates and the two-on-one battle with Darth Maul at the end are easily the highlights of the movie. You can accuse it of being over-choreographed or whatever, but it's good fun to me. Even so, the irony of Obi-wan defeating Darth Maul despite the latter having the high ground is not lost on me. He just stands there while Obi-wan leaps several meters through the air, lands behind him, and then slices him in half. Still, it's only a small quibble, and the prequels rarely do anything perfectly, so whatever. Qui-gon's death, followed by the tension of Obi-wan having to wait for the shields to go back down to run in to avenge him, was a really well done, understated moment. This fight is one of the longer lightsaber duels in the series, and it could almost stand to be longer considering the rest of the movie!

Well, Blue Lions definitely depicts her that way, but that's also from Dimitri's admittedly skewed perspective (although her death scene is notably different between Blue Lions and Golden Deer. Dimitri kills her without remorse as she desperately tries to kill him at the last moment after transforming into a monster, whereas Byleth gives her more of a "mercy kill" in the Golden Deer route, and Claude doesn't really want to kill her).

Well, in a couple of places, yes. The biggest one is Edea's speech at the end of Disc 1, where the localization team somehow failed to recognize that she used a title drop and didn't properly translate it as such.

Overall, I think the localization is solid, but @dowolf would be the guy to ask in-depth questions about such matters.
