M. Bison (Street Fighter) - Fodder-line. Would only take a marginal step down from his Villains Contest performance to land him here and I'm not expecting him to hold up too well. Especially not after Guile bombed.

Mickey Mouse - Fodder-line. I don't think anything he's in other than Kingdom Hearts is remotely important to any sizable amount of the gamefaqs demographic, though it helps a bit that he's so recognizable and ubiqitous. And KH characters not named Sora aren't worth much at this point either:

I'll just assume "everything else other than KH" lets him catch up to around Riku's strength.

Dark Link (Zelda series) - Midcarder. Could see him doing a bit better than Epona but hyping him too much feels kind of...dismissive of the site's voters - as if they actually are "Zelda drones" rather than people who like Zelda games and the most prominent characters therein. Nobody cares about Dark Link and I gotta BELIEVE that ends up hurting him. Only willing to go so far with that though, I mean, these are the people who voted a horse over Ike.

Yukiko Amagi - Mid-Fodder. Not particularly beloved party member from a decently strong game. She should be weaker than Chie and this is the tier I'd have put Chie in but I could see her still beating the true losers out there.

Robin - Fodder-line. Smash appearance plus being from a non-trivial game keeps them out of the basement. I should probably play Awakening.

Batman - High-Midcarder. It's been several years since he's been hyper-relevant and after how Nintendo clowned on most of the field last year that probably matters. Arkham City was 2011 and I don't think anything Batman's done in games since matters much. Dark Knight Rises was 2012 and the DC Cinematic Universe has been kind of a joke, or at least the parts involving Batman have been. I mean, Batman will still always be Batman but at this point we're potentially looking at a not-particularly-relevant Batman rather than the one people have been hyping for years who had massive movie and gaming successes recently.

Supposedly the inside joke eventually led to that once, yeah. I read people saved screenshots of it. also mentioning the incident on the official subreddit apparently gets you banned or something.

Some of this might be Melee weakening.
It declined a good deal in that favorite GameCube game poll after Smash 4 came out. In 2015 it only got 55% on KHII due to nobody bothering to rally Melee that round - worse than Twilight Princess got in GotD. Modern Smash getting better is probably detrimental to Melee because it makes it seems less special.

Aside from the marketing, Pokemon's biggest strength has always been in providing an expansive yet highly accessible RPG adventure on portable systems to people who don't have much experience with that type of game. Once you're already introduced new games aren't gonna be as special and the battle mechanics and such were never the real draw for the masses so yeah.

I think Skyrim could probably get 54+% on God of War reboot like Ultimate did last GOTY, but pretty much anything hokey going on is going to be in Smash's favor so it may need to be cleanly above if it wants to actually win. Double registered voters would swing at least a percent and if it's close nobody's going to successfully rally Elder Scrolls to any notable extent.

It takes less than a minute to look up an address on google maps and the admins can check IP addresses as well so the most basic of giving-a-damn would generally foil that.

I'm guessing Yuffie and Barret almost catching up to the pack of Aeris/Cid/Red XIII is more the latter three falling back than the former two improving much as they all slowly blend together into "secondary FFVII character I recognize and probably kinda like but don't necessarily care as much about in 2019."

Tifa's improvement is just otherworldly, though.

I mean, Zelda's the name she's most known by regardless of nominations. This "outst the princess by outnominating Zelda" thing is a pretty funny and clever idea though, I will admit - especially with the potential victim being a contender for the #2 character on the site! It, uh, probably wouldn't be a good precedent to effectively allow people to have anti-nominations if they can beat the nominations of a popular character by nominating them under an obscure name and possibly guise, though. Rookie, Mr. L, Glenn, Iroquois Pliskin...there's no end to the mischief that could be done, so it probably won't happen. So I think your main hope would be that the latest Smash appearances or whatever are good enough to make SBAllen considering counting her as her own character.

I think the appropriate thing is for SBAllen to just count all the Sheik nominations as Zelda nominations since they're the same character and disqualify the nominations of anyone who tries to cheat the system there by nominating both.

I pretty much just nominated 5 kinda strange anime I liked that had fairly little in common. You've even seen one of them so I guess it worked!

wedding peach wanted in on the insane money sailor moon was making and they needed a theme to stand out, that's why!

Zoids is a mecha show that included kids as its main audience, yeah.

3 > 1 > 5 > 2 > 4 for Digimon seasons imo.

2 isn't bad. 4 pretty much commits slow-motion suicide in the final quarter but I still kind of liked it.

haven't watched Fusion/Xros Wars or Tri yet.

M.D. Geist doesn't deserve its reputation at this point. The hate kind of made sense back in the day as the original version had some ridiculous animation errors, it got overexposed due to one of the big licensors using Geist as their mascot, and people were expecting everything to be the next Akira or Ghost in the Shell when MD Geist isn't even even trying at that. It's just a lovably dumb and violent action anime with an awesome soundtrack, a rather distinctive main character (everyone who's not Geist basically sucks though), and a neat twist. I think it succeeds pretty well on its own terms. And given that the Director's Cut version fixes most of the errors and helps fill out the plot a little, the option to still watch the original to laugh at it can only be a plus nowadays. But yeah, if it doesn't sound appealing to you on a surface level you probably shouldn't watch it!
